IHSH-260-PPL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Purple Rain
-
A better picture, but with me looking way, way tougher than I am. LOL.

@Richard I’m really pleased for you, that worked out great. It fits you very well and will also tolerate a warm to hot wash if you do want to tighten it up a bit or shorten the arms. Well done sir.
My thanks to you, sir. Now I have to make sure I don’t look at photos of the new black and yellow UHF. LOL.

Unless you want the work-shirt version (coming soon), you should be safe, only one western left…
LOL. Another beautiful shirt.

Similar to others about the slightly smaller measurements on this shirt, I was somewhat hesitant about getting it. I ended up purchasing, then canceling due to the smaller measurements but bc I really wanted it to work, measured every UHF in the closet & excitedly found that the posted measurements of the actual shirt would fit. Then purchased it for the final time Completely happy that it worked out. This may be my fave UHF and the only one that drew my attention in this years collection. Never would of thought that purple and red can go together quite well. IH nailed it!
Thanks to Giles for inadvertently letting it be known that this one was made in ladies sizes and the crew for dealing with my indecisiveness

Looking great man! I sent back my XL to selfedge, XXL on the way! Any issue with the sleeve length, Baba-san?
sorry just seen this… sleeve length was perfect for me... no different from my usual XL in the flannels
-
looks super great on you @RoxRocks86 Got mine on again to with a 'go to' white T under

Nice fit, Rox and Baba san. Out and about….. With 777 14s

Thank you @Baba-san you rock the purple rain!!! It’s a shirt that’s hard to put away…
Appreciate it @Richard I must say, it was a bit nerve wracking seeing your first fit and wondering if you’ll size up in time before the size you needed sold out! Glad everything worked out for you looks like you’ve been enjoying this shirt

This is my first UHF & I didnt know how to factor laundering into sizing. Thought Id share pre & post wash measurements.
Machine washed (cold, no spin) & line dried:
New/After - Tag XXXL
Shoulders: 19.8/19.8
Length: 30.5/30.0
Chest/P2P: 23.8/23.0
Waist: 23.1/22.7
Opening: 23.2/22.75
Sleeve: 27.9/27.5Im glad I didnt go with a warm wash or machine dry because the amount of shrink was substantial. Sizing up was the right call as the fit is perfect now. Hopefully there won't be anymore shrink moving forward.

Am washing mine soon…... Thanks. I guess a warm 30c wash would shrink substantially more?

Be aware that US washing machines often only have "cold wash" and "warm wash" settings. 30C on European wahing machines is the same as a US cold wash. Warm wash is 50-60C. If you wash on 30C with low spin and air dry you will see only a little shrinkage, if any. A 60C wash or a machine dry will give you meaningful shrinkage.
If you are concerned about shrinkage then stretching the shirt at the seams and placket, as well as across the shoulders, while the shirt is still wet, will mitigate most of any shrinkage that may occur with a 30C wash.

Got myself a 3xl from Self Edge. Didn't know about these as I don't keep up with IH like I used to. First item I bought in…probably a year....beautiful piece!
