IHSB-BIGBUCK-BLK - Black Deerskin Western Shirt - The Big Buck

I dont think they are far away now. So sorry for the extended delays. The dies Steve had made for applying the snaps were not up to snuff, he had to get them made again…
I'm sure most people that got one of these, like myself, anticipate wearing it for a long time and would rather wait for the best it can be. Don't rush it in my opinion!

Thank you for the update Giles. Can’t wait to have it on!
‘If you know, you know.’ I got a little taste from the Lederhosen. -
The big buck with Kolesch stuff

Very nice @Eisenherz congrats… so that's number 3, right?
-
Thanks @Chap , what size do you have. I guess custom made?
I think so…
Wore it yesterday with the deer Vest. I know no material as deerskin that provides such a body climate. It was wet outside and about 7 ° C. It was very comfortable. I did not move the vest while eating lunch in heated room nevertheless pleasant to wear. Thanks to IH that they such nice material brought to a fine IH western shirt. -

They will be a "regular" item. That is as regular as we can get irregular supplies of the deerskin. I ordered a lot about 3 months ago, I should see half of that order in a few weeks, God only knows when I will see the rest of the order. but, we are talking about some of the finest deerskins in the world made by one of the oldest, if not the oldest tanneries in Germany, making it in exactly the same way as they have been tanning hides for centuries. The waiting is part of the game….

… The waiting is part of the game....
It is. There are two or three tanneries left in Austria while the "Lederhose" is still part of daily wear in some areas. Makers are rare too nowadays and it is usually an bespoke item. Waiting time with some of the top tailors can be up to 5-6 years!

Indeed it is. I have been waiting to pick up a IH deerskin since the first one was done many moons ago with Aero. Waiting a bit more certainty isn't a issue. Reading the process and history of Kolesch was fascinating and reassuring that waiting all this time has been worth it!!.

Sizing chart has been added to the first post

Does this mean there are some available or soon will be at least? Specifically a L or XL?

ahha, just as I suspected! However, I have learned to never underestimate the superpowers of the IHUK team so I just needed to be sure before getting overly excited!

I'm assuming the leather loosens up with break in? Afraid the medium might be a tad snug and the large a bit roomy. How deep did you stock these, G?
