It is very very slow fading black. The Japanese call it super black, but when we did a shrink test we noticed very faint signs of fading so to be truthful we cannot call it true super black. I have worn my 218 for over a year very regularly and it shows no real signs of fading. This is the same denim
What kind of shrinkage did you get @Alex? I'm usually an L but the overall length and arm length are not as long as I'd like them to be, and the XL has a big PTP.

Is it essentially the same as the fabric used on the IHSH-85? If so that thread has some good documented shrink tests (by myself, amongst others [emoji1]).
