@sabergirl well that is just what I wanted to hear!

@Oaktavia I am sorry to be the one to tell you that everyone is lying to you about the fit of the 72 and it would fit me infinitely better. Just sayin.

Erm… difficult to say. Has it been soaked or washed? Has it been used before?
In principle most cotton/twill fabric will at least relax and give a bit under pressure. Mitigating factors will be the tightness of the weave, and the amount of constructional stitching, both of which will retard stretch to a degree.
My educated guess is that it should relax a little, but probably not much.

The previous owner stated he washed it twice.

I have been wearing this jacket for nearly two weeks now. It arrived with nearly no fading at all, and zero honeycombs creases visible (jacket is secondhand). I love the way the it has broken in and the creases are sharp and set. I plan to wear this as often as possible until the summer, the fade photos on here are insanely amazing. This is my second 18oz jacket by IH, my first one being the 101J.
What I love most about this jacket is the color. It is so rich and dark blue, with electrics starting to show. I also dig the pocket size and shape. So happy I found this jacket here on the forum.

Is there any chance we will see this or another Type II again, maybe sooner than ever? This is one cool bit.

Very nice, @Oaktavia! Loads of indigo in that outfit–I like it.

Just wanted to share a photo of this jacket after several years of wear. Each photo has a bit of variance in the exposures and I removed the background. Still fairly difficult to capture as even these shots dont accurately capture the depth of the contrast. I'm very happy with the way this has evolved over the last few years. As you can see, the jacket itself still has plenty of deep indigo with nicely pronounced highlights.
