IH-555-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo

Thanks much appreciated
@vaquero357 -
They certainly fade faster than 21oz although not as quickly as the UHR did. I would say that the areas that tend to be exposed to abrasion and friction fade very quickly, but the other areas cling to their indigo. The result tends to be high contrast. Here are an aging pair of 666-XHS:
What boots are these. They look fantastic.

@vaquero357 I know right? My girlfriend was kind of giving me a bad time in the beginning, and now she is coming around:)
400 for jeans she said?
250 for a shirt she said?

Thank you! They are custom specced Wesco Boss. Black rough out, harness straps, bump toe and a few other tweaks. I’ll try and find more pics, but ask away if you have more questions.

@dinobarnesberlin
Buy your partner some GAH Jewellery or something
Might work for you… -
They really do love them some jewelry don't they?
As much as I know that some GAH would solve a lot of my problems–
im going to wait until Feb.14TH to do something cool for her instead -
Is there a production run on this one any time soon?
-
Yes, in production atm…

Went through the posts as I'm planning for quite some time to get into the XHS denim. Have been thinking the last couple of months to get my first XHS and was looking into the 666 cut but the measurements have been putting me off. The 555 seems to have a roomy thigh which is good for me. I have a size 31 on my 666 cut and looking at this measurements, the Tag size 30 would be better. I'm not sure if I can compare the dimensions across cuts like this, but nevertheless from what I could infer from the discussions, the waist, thigh, knee should stretch a bit with wear, so Tag size 30 should do. Is my assumption correct?

I've been wearing a pair of these for the Indigo Invitational for the past 4 months. Loving them and they are just starting to fade noticably and are soft as hell! Can any experienced XHS owner provide me with the best marbling/white lines proof washing method?
I've successfully washed 21oz IH denim many times but this fabric has be intimidated a bit. So far I plan to soak inside out, wash in machine on warm (inside out still) low/no spin, hang dry. Which is my 21oz method minus the pre soaking. Thanks for any tips!

@jotishan you can compare thigh measurement across cuts but what most people forget is that the thigh dims are taken at the top of the thigh. It is useful to consider the width from thigh to knee to get a sense of how things taper. The 555 is described as “super slim” because the knee measurement is the smallest of all IH cuts. The thigh tapers heavily towards the knee, while the 666 has much less thigh to knee taper.

That is a good plan. I wet mine with the shower head thoroughly, turning them inside out half way through. Then straight in to the machine to wash on 30 or 40C, lowest spin setting (400rpm on my machine). Never had a problem with this.

@neph93 Ok so you mean the thigh to knee taper is much visible in this cut compared to the 666? I can see that already from the measurements between the two cuts. But for me the thigh on this 555 for the same tag size is much generous than the 666 and the knee measurements is roughly 1 cm slimmer for the 555 which should work out.
My very first IH is a 555N, but I made the mistake of sizing it too high where I went with a Tag size 32 which was comfortable in the beginning, but it stretched out to an extent where it sags down a lot and gives me a diaper butt (due to the very high back rise). If the waist should sit on spot, this will be the very best fit / cut for me. So I hope to get the sizing right on this one. I'm waiting for the EU shipments to be sorted out. Tag size 30 is available already, so I might give both the 30 and the 31 (hope a restock soon) a try and stick with one that suits me.

Hello all,
Very long time lurker, first time poster… At least maybe first time in a long time.
Just received my 555XHS from Rivet and Hide in size 30. Amazing and swift service!
Unbelievable quality. The thickness of this fabric is insane!
Tried them on and they fit well… Buttons were nearly impossible to button. I used the handle of a toothbrush to help elongate the holes. That worked well.
I immediately soaked them in warm water with a quarter cup of detergent, agitated thoroughly, and then rinsed them in the backyard with a garden hose. I dried them hanging off a hanger and in front of a fan and I am wearing them now, very slightly damp. Took a grand effort to get the top button buttoed but I got it done.
This cut and this fabric is sensational. I’m so excited to begin this journey.
For reference, I am 5 foot 7 inches, 161lbs, and I have an athletic build - I am 46 years old. I wear size 32 in the 666 21oz and a size 32 in the 555 21oz. I also own a pair of 2009 Ueno bought 634S size 30, Self Edge SF bought 301’s and 633’s. The 555 (in 21 and 25oz) is hands-down a MASTERPIECE. Cheers to Haraki-san, Giles and the whole Iron Heart family and community.

Just placed an order for these. I'm highly doubting they'll replace the 555 SST's I just picked up, as I'm now spoiled by stretch as a motorcycle rider. However, I've wanted 25oz jeans since I started this addiction and the restock was a perfect chance to add them to my collection.
Also, I really want to see them stand up on their own LOL
