IH-463S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Sneaker Cut Jeans "The Boss Cut" - Indigo

Note to self… when you are between two sizes in these, go up lol
When I saw that we had more 38 buyers than 38 sizes, I worked out a deal with sabergirl and the stars aligned in a manner that lead her old pair of 36s to me.
This has to be the absolute slimmest top block of an IH Jean I have tried - and I wear 36 in 777-142, 301s, 888-od and countless others. The waist and thigh measures on these seemed perfect, but they did take me about 30 minutes to even get them over my hips.
Once I got them buttoned up, I can’t say enough good things. Very trim top block, but good coverage due to the increased rise, svelt looking leg due to the inseam taper from thigh to knee and back out to the hem. And honestly, I now remember why boot cuts were a thing.. they make you look much skinnier
Altogether, really looking forward to how I get along with my pair and would kill for an upsized pair in a heavier (or lighter!!) denim.
I’m tempted to get a second pair and disperse my other cuts…

Loving the sound of this, while being slightly nervous about that top block. The w34’s came in a little small which potentially makes matters worse. I’m soothing myself with the thought of the inevitable 21oz stretch and the thought of the cut. They are in their way and should be with me early next week.

Cheers Reuben and Ann - they stretched in a matter of 10 minutes behind the computer. Brings me back to the days of me wearing size 4 ladies jeans in my EMO days - #noshame
FWIW these on an inseam of 34 work great, where my other jeans are usually hemmed 33. The break on the larger leg is so nice.
I’m tempted to try to low rise boot (in a size up of course

This is my favorite fit from Iron Heart in the top block. Like a glove, and so comfy. I almost would like a pair to send off to be tapered, which I normally can’t be bothered with—but this with a skinny hem would be my dream jean. As it is, they are still so good.

Great fits @sabergirl and @Appfaff. This cut has always been overlooked by me but after seeing the recent photos and looking at the size chart I'm tempted…

Cheers gents - it’s an idyllic cut with boots - and for those of us who always “want” the 634 to work for us, this cut works flawlessly.
I was thinking WHY this cut can be so slim yet so comfortable, and it really is the higher rise, fitted hips and lower front rise.
It would be the ultimate slim tapered cut if the taper continued from the knee to the hem.. a 465S as you would
I also think boot cuts work great in larger sizes because of the shaping.. straight cuts can feel oversized from the thigh down, and this shapes so well.
And Palmer - they work perfectly with Morrison’s

^This …
The high back/low front rise combo is definitely the key!
^And this
The Boss cut deserves other denim fabrics!
