IH-555-XHSBB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super-Slim Cut Jeans - Black/Black
-
Date night.
W/ Pendleton wool. And Luchesse shark.
-
So very similar to SBG. Hoping for the vertical streaks like indigo XHS.
-
@SEAK:
I'm also waiting for that soft leathery hand feel of the XHS to set in!
Four weeks may be a little early for that to happen. I think four months is more likely. Also, I don’t want to sound like a merchant of doom but based on my experiences with the 21oz SBG it may take even longer with these than the indigo version. Something about sulphur dyeing really stiffens the fabric.

Just gave this pair a machine wash after 90 days of light lockdown wear. Not quite in the soft super comfy stage yet but lots of that trademark XHS atari already happening.

Hello everyone im brnad new to the 25oz world. Pickup up the 555 xhsbb in size 32. These feel bullet proof. I hope they will eventually break in and mold to my body like my 21oz sbg 888s did. I was torn between sizes 32 and 33. The thighs are tight and the top block seems to fit snug. I can still do squats and get in and out of my truck at least lol.

Welcome! I’m loving how everyone is embracing the XHS and these new dye variations. If you can squat I’d say you’re good. The XHS often seems too tight in the beginning because of the weight and rigidity.
Be careful with a wash/soak as they will get a little tighter… However they will also stretch back out again with wear. You may find it uncomfortable for a week or so.

I was worried about the stronger taper of the 555’s. After months of re measuring my 888’s I pulled the trigger. The measurements of the these 555’s were close enough to my 888. I haven't soaked them yet. I’ll probably get that out of the way later this week. I just really wanted to see if I could wear them through a day of work.

Thanks for the advise. I am a little worried these are too tight. But I am sure they will break in eventually. I try to size for thighs and I considered getting the 33w. But the waist seemed to big. After wearing these 32w I am thinking of up sizing if I decide to get another pair in the future. I'll just have to wait and see how these break in.

They look really good in, but I can see they are trim at the waist. You might want to wear them for until they are dirty and them give them a gentle cold wash. They will stretch out an inch with wear and on a 30 wash shouldn’t shrink more thay half an inch.

Note: mine have developed the walking POP like my UHRs. :/.
Stealth/no stealth. Lol.

Double up on this denim? Even though I just bought the shinayakas, I might've become hooked on all the jeans..

More like like a Iron Heart fan
This is true. How's your pair looking? Or are you wearing a different pair?
