IH-634-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo/Black

:)Thanks for the denim lesson. Pants are looking so good!! That’s the most faded version of the IB I’ve seen. Very unique fading throughout.
-
Can’t wait to start breaking in my first XHS and indigo black! Biked to Self Edge today to get them hemmed.
The staff there is always great. Cheers! -
Now that is an excellent photo @Mental_SkëweR Fit pic next!

@Mental_SkëweR you won't believe how soft they will get. It's pretty incredible actually. I am wearing mine today. The hand on this particular denim is arguably the softest of anything I have ever seen or felt. You are sure to be delighted.
I was trying to decide what pair I was going to spend the spring busy season in, either these or the Pronto double indigo XHS pair… and I think I am back to these again. Either pair I'll need a belt with now. I usually hate belts. These are just too comfortable now.
Work just called today and told me I am having to travel Saturday. So I came to the realization that I would have to make up my mind what pair I would wear until late June. I might see if I can take the Prontos as my back up, but I have a pair of indigo duck work pants as my back up...

„Woven with an indigo warp (that will fade) and a reactive dyed black weft (that won't fade).“

@Mental_SkëweR nice look
is that an IHJ-71?
-
@Mental_SkëweR - great fit.
the leg opening of the 634 seems to work well with your engineer boots. ive always liked brown r/o - what brand & model are they?

@Oaktavia thx! It’s a modern Levi’s 1953 type 2. I love it bc of the history behind it (Elvis & many more) but IH and some other brands have even better versions IMO. Hope to get an IH one maybe next season. The type 2 overdue collab with self edge is very attractive!
@hoppy_IPA thank ya! These are the whites Cykel boot in brown rough out. They are partially machine built making them SLIGHTLY more affordable than the more popular Nomad by Whites, which is all handmade. A good alternative to Wesco! However I recently saw they have a 10-12 week wait.

Hah after I asked if yours was IH, I saw the red tab by your pocket. The history behind the type II is pretty neat, I agree. I've been wearing an indigo/indigo 18oz IH type II lately and love it. Sadly, it is extinct at least in our current timeline. I felt lucky to have found and bought it from a forum member, hardly worn. The one of Self Edge is pretty rad too for sure.

Thanks for the visual. Fades looking super unique! Have you washed yours yet? Or are those fades strictly from wear?
I wore them for about 6 weeks before soaking them with mild detergent in the tub [emoji369] About 2-months thereafter was the first machine-wash (delicate cycle with mild/wool detergent), and every 6-8 weeks thereafter. So, now about 4-5 washes after the initial soak. I am not now, nor have I ever been a “must wear jeans for at least six months before washing them” person. Nothing against the idea, it’s just not me, I don’t have that kind of patience [emoji2369]
If I were to get a new pair now, I would do the first soak more or less immediately, as there is some minimal shrinkage left, and then machine-wash every 6-8 weeks as needed thereafter.

The color of these is unreal

Looking very sick! Has that fray on the cuff gone all the way through the fabric?
If so, do you just leave it as is or repair? You could drop the cuff in half and do the double roll up to change the position. Looks rad either way though!The color of these is unreal
