IHSH-277-IND - 9oz Selvedge Ombré Check Work Shirt - Indigo
-
Xpost from WAWT. Somehow IH turned the afternoon sky into a shirt.
-
So I washed the shirt on hot on a long cycle, and ran it through the dryer for an hour on extra high heat. It definitely shrunk. Like the sleeves are definitely shorter now. So mission accomplished. It will be nice to have a shirt I don't have to baby and only wash in cold water and hang dry for once. This is the largest proportion IH shirt I've owned. (Which is good).
I had to iron the collar and all the hems because they were all rolled up and puckered.
There was a minimal amount of indigo loss. The dark part no longer appears black. But it still looks great.

I'm on vacation and my shirt is waiting for me, how's it compare to the red 247?
-
@Filthy what size did you take? What's your typical IH size?
-
It's a 4xl but I could probably fit a 3xl in the shirt no problem. I do this size to get the width I need at the waist. Otherwise I can almost blow the 2nd button up from the bottom off when I sit down. The problem is that I have lost 10 lbs since November. I have a 2xl UHF and it is too small still but all my 3xl shirts fit great now.
-
Roger that, thanks!! Keep on droppin those extra lbs man, nice job!

@Nskelton anything in particular you’re curious about?
Someone else may be more observant, but I don’t notice much difference. Same weight, different colors? The 277 does feel slightly stiffer off hand not sure if it’s due to the weave or just being new.
-
@RoxRocks86 since I own the 247 and can't wait to see this in hand I thought I'd ask. I thought it looked very similar in pictures to the 247.
-
Being that they are both 9oz. unbrushed flannel I think it’s safe to say they are basically the same material

Long time lurker, first time poster. Seems this shirt is as good of an excuse as any to dip my toe in and say hi! Way too cold in New England this week to take outdoor shots, but snagged some quick and dirties in my kids’ bathroom.
As others have stated (and shown), the colors in this thing are next level. I can just stare at it and start giggling. It’s textile art for sure.
I’m 6’0” and 180lbs, and XL fits like a glove.
Cheers!

think we are similarly built. I am 6.1 and 185 lbs … waiting for my XL . Bureaucracy had to stall it at customs for a day or two Fortunately IR staff were of great help and all duties were paid for. I totally forgot about new rules after brexit...

Seconded. Congrats and welcome!
