IH-634-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo/Black
-
The color of these is unreal
-
Looking very sick! Has that fray on the cuff gone all the way through the fabric?
If so, do you just leave it as is or repair? You could drop the cuff in half and do the double roll up to change the position. Looks rad either way though! The color of these is unreal
-
@Mental_SkëweR yeah the cuffs are full of holes. I'm just gonna keep wearing them as is an see what happens. These are soon to become my idgaf pair anyway since I have new jeans on the way.
Fyi, I think we're supposed to remove the images when we quote someone. I feel like a dick telling you that but I know that's what they want.
-
I’m sporting the Haraki half-roll at the moment.
-
crocking all over them laces Alex
-
I gave these an extended hot wash yesterday because they were very filthy.
-
Perfect description….it really is
-
Aquatic!
-
Looks great Mike. I’m surprised your patch looks so good after a hot wash :o
-
I think it's the Wesco bee oil. Unfortunately I ran out and switched to my 30 year old Red Wing oil and it immediately turned way darker.
-
Thanks for the tip. Gonna try & get a bottle of one of those oils. The leather products I’ve been using has been a hit or miss with protecting the patches from hot washes. One of my patches are on the way to looking like chicharron ???
-
You mean like this?
-
Whoa! Yours definitely looks like it’s been in a deep fryer
-
Personally I use VSC but Lexol would be a good choice too. Neither will darken/discolor
-
Thanks for the advice. I just used this stuff because it was readily available.
-
It's highly unusual that I have a brand new pair of jeans and I prefer to wear my old ones. This has never happened to me before.

I was experimenting with different kinds of light sources to try and capture the right color of these. This is a mix of an old incandescent bulb and an LED bulb at the same time.

Speaking of hot washed XHS patches versus un-hot washed XHS patches:
The left is mine from 9 years ago, and the right is @Nkwkfld (I treated it with Obenaufs and sunlight to make it so silky smooth btw, no offense just having fun with the crinkled patch). And patches are beer coasters, change my mind…
