very cool, thanks for the size guide

This is exactly what I've been waiting for. The perfect black denim trucker IMO… just as it's 14oz Indigo brother is the perfect Indigo trucker.
@Giles will this be a continuous production item?

Black Denim is a good style

Did Self Edge get a slightly longer version of this jacket? I only ask because their XXL shows a length of 27.8" and yours says 26.5". It appears they measure length in a slightly different way, but I wouldn't think it would produce a materially different number. I'm assuming the jackets are identical but their measurements don't have the same quality control as yours

I've been wearing this for a couple weeks now. Initial impression is highly positive. I'm tall and lanky but broad shoulders (6'1" 170) and the XL fit is spot on. Can throw a hoodie underneath or just a t-shirt and it fits equally as well. Has a bit of a bespoke feel to be honest.
I gave it an initial quick hand wash with Bronner's hemp oil soap and a couple cold rinses before drip drying. New new black denim is always a lint trap. Once some of the starch and dye are out it smooths over nicely.
I know this jacket turns a few heads because in addition to the impeccable fit it is an inky heavy black. Like you disappear into the background ninja type of black. Who needs contrast stitching? I have become an actual shadow now.
Last but not least. POCKETS. I love my Riffblaster 101J but the lack of pockets eventually gets me. With this one, no such problem. I live in Minnesota, I need pockets for cold hands, keys, phone, etc. That interior pocket behind the side pocket lining is perfect for a phone.

Purchased this last week. A great black Type 3 which I can highly recommend. It’s such a great jacket and fit that it’s the best Iron Heart product I own.

Hello.
Anyone with a size XXXL find that the sleeves and shoulders a bit too long? Had anyone done a hot wash and found it helped with fitting?

Have a hard time figuring out my size in this. Have the 9526PJ and it’s indigo brother both in large - great fit with room for a heavy sweater underneath. The large in this one is a bit more narrow in the chest, but wouldn’t large work fine when I’m only gonna wear it with a tee? Feel like the medium will be top snug ️

What’s the difference in cm’s? I’m sure you’ll be fine. I used to stress about typeIII dims, but they are quite forgiving.
It’s 4 cm between the two in the chest - but I guess the 21 oz vs 14 oz might have something to say there?

I'm late to the party on this one but managed to find this in stock in L size at Rivet & Hide, most places seemed to be low on stock at this point. Anyways posting to share my fit and see what the experts think.
I was a little worried it was going to run a bit short in the chest. It's a little snug across the chest when buttoned, but the fabric is not too unforgiving and overall feels quite comfortable. I can still button up the jacket with a heavy flannel underneath and it's not uncomfortable, just enough room, and with a tshirt there's plenty of wiggle room. It seems like length to waist is about right (sits just below jeans waist line), and arm length is bang on (maybe a cm too long, but perfectly fine). Sizing up would have certainly meant the arms would be too long, so I reckon this fit is exactly right from the available sizes in this jacket.
Please excuse my pairing with cheap stretch jeans, I'm workin' on it
Also Ross from Rivet & Hide did me a solid and measured this before sending out, which confirmed it ran slightly bigger than their listed chest measurement and gave hope that I'd squeeze in. I've had great experience with R&H and IHUK so far, top work.
I think you can see it runs a little snug across the body / chest when buttoned up, though sizing up would probably be too big I reckon. Certainly too long in the arms. Probably better to be slightly snug than baggy. What do the denim sages think?
