IH-777S-142MB - 14oz Selvedge Denim Super-Slim Tapered Cut Jeans – Mad Black
-
This thread needed a bump since I am thinking of getting a pair.
-
Been loving the MB’s in the 21oz version so much that I decided to pick up it’s 14oz. lighter weight sister
-
Nice Rox. I'm still on the fence between the two models. I love the 21oz and think to myself "14oz is sooo thin"….really wish I could see them in person
-
Nice cop @RoxRocks86
That size 28 cracks me up every time -
@RoxRocks86 awesome choice for warmer temperatures. I have the 14ODs, they didn‘t have the Mad Blacks just yet. Think they are even cooler.
Guess Indigo Proof will get some more work to do very soon
-
@Denimminer lol kinda sounds like you're leaning more towards the 21oz? fwiw IH 14oz is quite substantial for being lightweight. The 14s aren't as breathable as the 21oz or have that same "stretchiness" factor so at times it has the illusion that it's heavier than it really is.
@dinobarnesberlin while you laugh away I cry in the corner since 28 is several sizes too big
@seven-k although 14oz isn't as breathable compared to 21oz, the lighter weight of the denim makes up for it. Def will be wearing these from here on out as I have no plans to send them in to indigo proof. Gonna be rocking the poser skatergirl vibe all summer long
14OD's are awesome! Always loved that green cast it appears to have.

28 too big ?–-oh my ???
Oh thank heaven for indigo proof! -
@RoxRocks86 totally agree with the greenish cast … and the poser skatergirl style is great for the summer time
Just wondering do you also think that the 14 Oz 777s appears to be wider in the leg compared to the 21 Oz? Haven‘t compared the measurements on the website yet but my 31" 14OD seem as wide as my 32" 21 and 25 Oz. Maybe that‘s due to the 14 Oz not going to stretch like the other denims do and the cut of the 14 Oz is the actual real cut of the jeans?
-
@seven-k Yes, I've noticed that too. Looking at the measurements there's slight differences, but I'm sure other factors come into play like denim weight and inseam length/hemming.

Sure … but on the other hand a little wider actually isn‘t that bad for warmer temperatures I think.

I got these in May 2021 and have ~10 wears on them now. They are 36 waist and unhemmed. For reference, I'm 6'2 and 215 lbs. While my thighs are a bit thick for 777 cut and the 36 waist is 1-2 inches too wide after stretch, I still love the jeans. For me these are a "dress jean" that I like wearing to nice dinners and work events. But they are comfortable enough and I enjoy them enough to also wear them casually. The 14 oz weight is good all year around for me in Ohio - breathable/light enough for summer but a dense enough weave that they will keep you warm if it's chilly out. They look good with engineers, oxfords, chucks - anything I've thrown at them. If you're considering these, I highly recommend you pick them up.

That's a good fit.

Great look for sure!!

Small kine update…
Gave these a wash the other day, and finally noticed these mb’s have some fades going on. They’ve been tortured, I mean in rotation the last 6 months & they definitely don’t like to let go of their ink.
