A number of major news outlets have picked this up as well. What is just as bad as the mud jeans are the comments from people on social media. It's a bit ironic to read post after post from people talking about never paying more than $25 for jeans ask, "what is wrong with people?". Pretty sure their $25 jeans are more damaging to society on multiple levels than a hideous pair going for $400.

Here's a fun fact.. those jeans you guys are bashing are made in the same factory as some of your favorite Japanese brands, even the finishing is done in the same factory as some of the finishing (rinsing, etc..) for those same Japanese brands.
The second time I went to Okayama to see some factories I walked in expecting to see all my favorite brands but instead all I saw was PRPS jeans being made. That is not to say I like those jeans.. just kind of interesting to think they were made alongside brands we all love.

No doubt there is/was a good pair of jeans under all that distressing. I just saw a quick clip of a 20th anniversary jean Eternal is making earlier this week on Instagram. It's basically a pair as destroyed as these. Pretty unfortunate if you ask me.

they not so bad & are the exception not the rule with washes & all that stuff.
I recall when every pair of jeans were acid washed or some other sort of crazy wash
prps are just doing the same madness francis girbaud & those guys did back in the day. the consumer just happens to be better educated & people are more concerned with the environment & all that stuff
I wish I could say I was amazed there is still a market for this stuff but then I would just sound more pretentious then usual
