IHSH-292-IND - 18oz Vintage Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo
-
Fit looks incredible, Rydor, great pickup! I'm loving just about everything in the Western cut but this looks slick
-
Oh for sure. I’m not trying to shrink it, and I’m happy with the fit. Just curious where it ends up. I like that it fits a little larger so there’s no overlap with the 293.

…as a 'shacket, for me, it's going to get a lot more wear than if it were to be used as strictly a shirt. As it is I seem to use all my 12oz denim and wabash shirts as 'shackets' in a way so this acquisition will take the heat off of said shirts.
...@rydor your fit looks right where I want mine to be, looks great!
...can't wait. Uuuhhhggg! now the Black Wabash is going to be restocked! ??? :o That's the last of the Iron Heart must have staple shirts for me, I swear!

Hi @neph93
Is it possible to make it shrink 1/2-1 inch in the length?
Thanks in advance -
@JB I'm not Neph but I can tell you that that amount of shrinkage is not going to happen. The shirt is one-washed, and as the product page says, no shrinkage is to be expected. Perhaps if you machine wash at very high temps and then chuck into the dryer you'll get some shrinkage, but not as much as you're looking for. Besides you should probably consider if it's wise to subject such a beautiful and expensive shirt to that kind of harsh treatment.
If you got the wrong size, I'd say you're better off getting another one!

You could also get a good tailor to make it shorter, but you'll probably lose the gusset and chainstitch run-off.

Thanks in advanceIt's my belief that length is the dimension which contributes least to the overall fit. An half inch less in the length is hardly going to be noticeable. It's probably not worth risking skewing the other dimensions to achieve this.

I agree with @DrPat! Too short doesn't look good, but if the overall fit is good an inch more or less length doesn't make a great difference.

Hi @neph93

Thanks in advanceApologies, somehow I missed this. @Lowlander is quite right, there is no chance any kind of wash will get you an inch of shrinkage. A lot of unsanforised denim will only shrink an inch in a leg of 36”. This shirt is sanforised and less than 36 in the body.
You may with very harsh treatment get half an inch. However if you do a 90C wash then tumble dry you risk screwing with the fabric and other measurements.
Show us a fit pic, I also agree with @DrPat that as long as the chest and shoulders fit then length is a more flexible metric.

Thanks a lot @Lowlander, @DrPat and @neph93
For Your great feedback The shirt fit very well in shoulders and chest I won’t give it a harsh treatment in the washing machine for that 1/2 inch in length!
I will post a fit pic soon -
Great fit @Lowlander on Your Shirt
