I had one beer and two slices of pizza and felt completely nauseous. I didn't even finish my second beer.

I read somewhere that it's recommended you not drink for a few days after the vaccines. Nothing formal in writing but lots of doctors recommend you abstain.

Yeah, that cigar I smoked didn't help either. 🤢

I got drunk after both Pfizer doses … which resulted in hangovers that were hard to distinguish from any side effects 🍻

I had my second Pfizer jag on Friday. I felt a bit dizzy for a while afterwards, which unfortunately coincided with the drive back from the vaccination hub.

Being in regional Australia, things are a bit spread out, and it was a forty-five minute drive home. Not great, and I did accidentally run a red light. Got back safely, fortunately.

I'm doing better. I was just out in the yard working for a couple hours. I tried drinking another beer last night and nauseous again. Maybe it is time for me to sober up for a while?

Thanks for asking @Paul9221 😃 How are you doing?

If you're well enough for yard-work, you're on the mend! 😃

I'm going through a similar thing to your beer situation.  I had some really nasty heartburn about a week ago, had me going to the doctor to make sure it wasn't heart-related (all the news abuzz with potential heart issues with Pfizer/Moderna vaccines didn't help!).  They told me that my heart was fine but to lay off of coffee, alcohol, spicy foods, big meals, and meals close to bedtime for the sake of the heartburn.

The first two days off of coffee SUCKED!  I had that horrible caffeine withdrawal headache.  But now it's been 1.5 weeks and I'm wondering whether I should stay off of it.  I tend to be an anxious person by nature so the added anxiety that I get from caffeine makes me a pretty nervous fellow.  But man, I LOVE coffee!  I have good decaf, I guess I could stick with that, but I just wonder if I should ditch it entirely.  I sure could use a cup right around now (experiencing post-lunch sleepies).

Oh man, I could not ever give up coffee. I don't drink it sometimes because all they have is Nescafé or Douglas Euberts (or whatever tf it is) instant coffee at the hotels or I know the water it is made with is gonna give me diarrhea. 😆 But I don't think I could not drink it again. Maybe moderation? Like one cup a day?

My wife was diagnosed with GERD and had to do the same. She's now able to get back to coffee (the industry in which she works!) as well as have spicier foods again. I think it was a couple months of reduced intake, but all good now.

@Filthy ha!  If I were you, I think I'd pack my French press whenever I traveled.  Nothing's worse than bad coffee.  That said, I've had amazing coffee from a McDonalds in the middle of Bakersfield.  I'm not snobby about it, but bad coffee is bad coffee.

@henry_david oh man, that's gotta be rough!  Giving it up while you're surrounded by it, literally.  Glad she's feeling better!

I was at my sister-in-law's over the weekend.  We were having pie and they served coffee and it just killed me not to have coffee with my pie.  To me, there's no better combination than pastries and coffee!

My favorite cup of coffee on the road is from a Love's truck stop. They have those machines that brew the coffee while you wait. So I key in a size large and put it into a medium cup and press the stop button when the cup is full. It's really good. I drink black coffee or I put lactose free milk in it when I am at home. When I am at home I drink the Walmart Donut shop coffee or Dunkin. I just like fresh strong coffee and am not picky about it at all.

Regarding sensitivity to acid and coffee, cold brew is less acidic (and for that reason, often less flavorful IMO). It is a good option for people with GERD or other issues with acidity.

                                      Think it, be it.

I was thinking the same earlier. I like the Stok cold brew they have in the grocery store. I can chug an entire bottle in about fifteen minutes. 😬

Well, you guys talked me into it!  I'm having my first cup in 1.5 weeks.  1/4 caff.  I think this amount of caffeine will prevent me from getting too anxious.  Cheers!
