IHSH-305-BLK - 13oz Heavy Solid Flannel CPO Shirt - Black

I was overthinking the sizing on this so much. In the end I went with my usual L, mainly based on intel from Graham that the production L comes in a bit bigger than the sample I was lucky enough to try on last week. Really hoping this works out!
I went with my usual UHF size of L, too. I think it'll be fine.
Same, stuck with my usual UHF size of XL.
-
Am I the only one that sized up?! Hope I didn’t make a mistake. We’ll see.

I didn't size up because I'm not very tall nor do I have long arms. I think the sleeve length may be perfect on my usual UHF size. Probably would've fit more like a UHF (just a little long) had I sized up.
I'm sure you'll be fine. You can always ask them to send you the runt of the size up.

I sized up, when you see the pics of Olly wearing large he could easily wear xl if you look at the shoulders and length. I want to be able to wear something underneath. And I did it because of the arm length.
-
Y'all are making me nervous that I sized up as well. I did leave a note to send the smallest tho.
Personally, I welcome a longer length. If I could have it my way a size S would be more like 33-34" in length, but I like my shirts super long because I wear Rick Owens t-shirts under them and those hang a good 4-5" below the hem of my IH overshirts in the front and back.
-
Grabbed a L, measurements were good for me except for the sleeve length, which was pretty close. Fingers crossed that there was a 26"+ sleeve left in the stack! Can't wait to see this one in person…
-
I am pretty sure the sleeves will be too long, but I will be glad for the room everywhere else! The chest may also be a bit more than I need, but historically this has proven to be fine with UHF, especially after I wash and dry them.
I’m stoked to see this fabric in person! Heavier even than UHF?! Yowza [emoji7]

Definitely could have gotten away with a S. The M fits ok but is just a little roomy for my taste, but the area that’s really too big is the sleeve width. Thinking maybe I’ll just try a hot wash and dry and see if that helps.

This thing is a beast. Feels much heavier than just one ounce above a UHF….feels more like 14-15oz to me. It's a tank. I went with my usual UHF size of XL and it fits perfect over just a T but not sure I could layer it over much more than that....maybe. I feel if I would have sized up it would have been to long in the body. Great shirt.

Guys. Can’t stress enough how you’ve outdone yourselves again. This has replaced my favorite shirt. I had a very old and very similar CPO. forgot the lot number, but I’ve had it repaired now at self edge so many times. This new one fits perfect and I can’t wait to wear it to Oblivion.
Here are photos of the new one and the old ones repairs.

Congrats on the new shirt, but I’ve GOT to see more pics of the old one! I think it’s a 54? Dystopia
Also, I love my 305 too. The fit isn’t perfect, so I’m hoping a wash will make it a bit better. Here’s a cross post from WAYWT

Awesome shirt. With the exception of arm length it looks like a great overshirt fit.
-
I think it looks great @ARNC , I’d just take extra care when you come to give it a wash
-
I agree with Lewis, especially if your plans are to just wear it as a shirt rather than a jacket. I think the fit looks pretty spot on
-
Thanks Lewis and Jason. It's good to have confirmation as my thinking could easily have been warped by such a nice shirt. I'm slightly obsessive about laundry, so I don't think that will be a problem
If you haven't experienced it, the 13oz fabric feels amazing - I considered posting it on the pets board because I could just sit and stroke it
-
It’s hard to get a good idea of the shoulder fit from the first pic because you’re a bit tilted and your left side is very dark.
The sleeve length looks good, especially since you’ve already got creases. The body length is also more than long enough. These are the two dimensions in which shrinking plays a major role. I don’t know exactly how this fabric behaves when washed but you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

I let my sister borrow a uhf this evening which she was very impressed by. It was her first time borrowing anything IH where she showed interest. Like she was asking what colors were available so I excitedly showed her the new releases and as I showed her this shirt she was all for it, esp. bc of the pockets. So I copped the last xs as a gift for her.
Can anyone who picked this up comment if it’s soft? I see that it’s unbrushed and G commented that it has a smooth feeling. Any other adjectives to add on how this shirt feels?
