IH-555-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo
-
Sleeping in jeans is definitely underrated haha. Thank you and yes sir thats my office.
It pays to have dark sheets though. I took a nap in new jeans once on white sheets. The better half was not pleased.
That is a really nice office.
Indeed, I have dark grey sheets because I learned the hard way when first getting into the selvedge world ::) I travel for work sometimes and I bet house keeping hates me but I make sure to leave a tip for the indigo inconvenience.

Am bashing the hell out of them
What did you do with the patch to make the “25oz” dark?

Hey folks,
So I've just got myself a pair of the IH-555-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo.
To say they are stiff and 'ball ache' is an understatement BUT that denim feels amazing.
Quick question is it recommended to wash these first before wearing in order to break them in OR just wear them raw and let them break in.
Also does washing them upfront effect the colour and or future fades?
thanks
in advance

advanceThey will shrink a bit with their first wash/soak. My personal opinion is that it is wise to get that out of the way before wearing, but it isn’t a must.
It makes no difference to fading potential. This pair were washed before being beaten up:

@DemonDenimHunter I don't have this cut but have the 777 in XHSib. I soaked them first in order to get the length shrinkage out of the way, as well as establish what the tightest the jeans would feel like. If you can deal with the discomfort they'll be fine in a couple days good wear. They were crazy inky dark before the soak and crazy inky dark after, with any of the XHS the amount of indigo loss from an an initial soak shod have no negative repercussions on the fade-ability. Enjoy your killer jeans

Soooo I've been wearing these RAW over the weekend as I couldn't be wait to wash/dry etc etc and tbh after the first few hours I got used to them breaking in, having said that they're not exactly easy to sit in.

Here they stand waiting for the soak before it’s time for break-in wear.

After first soak!
Tight as hell and the struggle was real to get them on. Picture me laying in the floor pulling, sucking in stomachs and so on. But now I can button at least two buttons. Time for a some careful stretch.
These will be awesome after the war is over! -
Great photos!
The struggle is crazy. We’ve all been there. Sweating, swearing, blisters on fingers, etc!

Got some waist measurements for you!
Tag size 31
Pre soak 32,3”
After lukewarm soak with agitation and a hangdry over night 30,7”
After 3 days with them on me for 2-3 hours per day 31,4”First day did I only manage to do one button
Second day 2 buttons.
Today which was the third day I manage to do 3 buttons.
Maybe tomorrow I can hope for all 4 buttons -
Time for a update again.
The fourth day I manage to do all the buttons.
Fifth day I had the jean all day and everyday since then.
Now I have a great fit. (At least I think soo)
-
Judging by how the fly splits at the front it's clear you sized down too much and one size up would probably have been better but if the rest of the fit is like you want them to fit, more power to you.
-
That’s a problem I have with most of my pants. If I hade sized up to 32” they would have been to loose in the waist.
How should I put it. Not all men are created equal -
@Skrietfranvildmarken I think you will be happy you sized down in the long run. The denim is so thick that it will relax all over. You will have your best fitting pair in a month or so.
