Indigo Invitational Y3

Iron Heart Jeans will be the winner by far
IH won first place last year https://tourdenimes.com/indigo-invitational-y2-top-ten/, but only three of the top ten were IH. There are definitely other brands that should not be underestimated.
But I understand what you are saying…IH is the best of the best as far as fades go.
-
^ It is not only the fades for what IH is worth it. I just started to wear my 666 XHSiB as I did soak it this time before wearing it for the first time. Man to button up the waist was a challenge.
What do you guys do to accelerate your fades? I mean not artificially, but kind of natural way other than just wearing them and sitting in front of a computer which I do all day long.
-
@the246guy fades will come just got to be patient 364 days to go..
Slowly but surely as they say..I’ve leant from last year from wearing 365/365 on average 14hours a day that your not going to win lol
The Winner last year just wore his leisurely and smashed it.
I work construction wearing them flat out and made the Top 50.
Went on bike rides, walked the dog 3miles probably 4 times a week.Think around 6months you really notice a big change.
But just enjoy your pair and how they evolve and get to that finish line
Best of luck -
It also helps that IH is more robustly constructed so that they hang together throughout all those activities without needing as much repair.
-
You guys are right! You need to wear them and do the action. Unfortunately none of that applies to me as my 10 Hours a day is gone sitting in front of the computer!
May be I see this as a motivation to do lots of physical activity wearing the denim. I'm actually into Downhill MTB, but wearing the 666 would be not that comfortable on the trails.
-
Wearing jeans MTBing is even worse–much worse--than wearing jeans skiing. Even if you're downhilling at a park with lifts. I shuddered when I read that

It's a no go wearing the XHS for MTB. I have learnt my lesson meeting with a nasty accident that would leave me without an ACL on my left knee.
May be I have to start doing some other physical activity, not just to fade the denim but to in fact get to do something.
-
I'm in it for Y3, but went with a different brand and a lighter weight denim.
I went with the matcha denim from Okayama Denim X SDA.
I have to admit, i do still admire the pair I wore for Y2. I still wear it once in a while and I LOVE how they turned out.
Here's to hoping that the judges will put more consideration into vintage fades. I had every hope of holding off on the first wash until the 6 month mark in Y2, but baby pee and poo ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

These look real good Rueben…cant wait to see what you and the others do with their respective entries this year.
Mine should arrive next week but I think by then I will have missed the deadline.
Nice choice with the slubGoing with a total new cut for me. The 888S 14ib
Looking forward to giving them a spin once they get here. -
^ The registration closes by 10th of April, but the raw submissions still have more than a month's time. So if you just register now about your participation, you still have more than a month to submit the raw proof.

Thanks for that @the246guy — looks like I’m in the clear

@neph93
Looking awesome Reuben
The 634 suits you extremely good , almost looks like a boot cut which I really love. -
@neph93
to leave them a bit longer was a good idea I think
I noticed a lot shrinking in length on my 634 slb after first wash .
30 degrees machine wash with 800 rpm max , soaked before they went into the machine.
