IH-634S-UHR - 21/23oz Raw Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
i gotta be that guy and ask:
I was trying on a old pair of 634's in a 35 and i felt the legs were much tighter/slimmer than my 888 25oz 36's. As in quite a bit noticeable, whereas i would almost describe my 888's as baggy below the knees, the 634's felt more trimmed. Anyone else have this experience?
My problem is I enjoy the roominess of the 888 upper block but really which the legs and below the knee were trimmer. I think wearing the bibs ruined me. And now I wanna grab a UHR pair before the go OOS. The 634's were a bit more restrictive in the thighs but the overall fit "fit" me better (at least in my head in the mirror.)
any advice other than buying all the UHR pairs

@kasi apologies if you’d already stated that you had old uhr.
-
@mikebarhoot dig that boro repair!
-
I canceled my order .
Too afraid to end up with a too tight waist….
Maybe one of the other cuts will work better.... -
I think I will press go on these today
-
I'm waiting for the 666 cut.

Ordered!

@Dmart
yes, but I discussed it a lot with the guys at GosVegas and maybe it will not work. so I decided to cancel. -
Mine arrived just now! F'n gnarly as all hell, as expected — pretty sure I injured myself buttoning the fly. In other words, excellent.
Feels like 33 was pretty perfect for me. They'll be tight after shrinking, but seeing that they should stretch back to current state in the waist, should be great. Gonna soak em tomorrow.
-
@popvulture Just remember, you need the agitation too to get the shrinkage. Soaking alone won't accomplish what you need to do…
-
I'll agitate em — just doing it in the tub, though. As I've said ad nauseam, my "fancy" Maytag washer is a piece of trash that loves to fuck up jeans, so I'm just not doing that. I'll probably give em two hot soaks and see what kind of results I get. I've done this with all other pairs of jeans I have, plenty of em unsanforized, and it's always been fine. No fade shifts as far as I've been able to tell.
FWIW after the initial hot soak(s), my jeans never see hot water again. I wash em by hand in the tub in cold water, works great for me.
-
That's what I ended up doing. I soaked twice (two different days), hot water (almost too hot bare handed), and hand agitated…and all inside out.
Hand wash for the first year and now just throw them in the washing machine (inside out) and cold water.
Good luck...they are worth it!

Thanks man! I'm glad to hear that worked out for you — makes me feel like I've got the right plan. I'm psyched as hell for these things. Also pretty sure I'm gonna have to be a total masochist and wear em as much as I can stand in the TX heat, because I don't think I can wait til it gets cooler

Which is basically what we say to do here (well what Haraki recommends):
