IH-634S-19L - 19oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans

Lmao
Edit: FWIW, I highly recommend soaking the denim in hot water like I did. They didn't shift and the denim is deodorized and stiff and rough again just like when they were new. I will probably do this to all my jeans from now on instead of wearing them until they are ghastly… I'll be soaking my slubby Pronto Anniversary jeans like this next.

This is so awesome! and some really amazing pics Filthy!

@Anesthetist haha more like 'marginally less BO'
Unrelated the combs on my FGL-19L are pretty crazy since the last soak and trip through the dryer. They didn't shrink at all and the waist was stretched back out to what it was before in a couple hours.
-
I could never get combs like that on the 634 cut I may have to hire you out [emoji23]

it's because the denim is so stiff and my big legs.
-
I'm getting some slight fades on my lefties… I wanted to share with you.
-
No that's just from them being slightly damp when I put them on. I had hot soaked them then ran them through the dryer about 20 minutes on high heat and then put them on when they were a touch damp.

I'm having a bad-ish day so I crushed a six pack in two quarters of a football (NFL) game. I'm more of a two to three beer kind of gentleman these days…
Anyway, I was just admiring how soft these jeans have gotten compared to how rough they were from the onset. I am kind of amazed by the 'textural evolution' of this particular denim. They went from the roughest IH denim I've had to just as soft as anything I've had. There's still a little uneveness of the texture of the denim but the had is as crazy soft as some of my most broken in pairs.
I now get the earlier comparisons of this denim to the 18 oz denim because it has gotten just as soft. But I think the perceived weight feels much stiffer and thicker than the 18 oz denim and I think the weight feels more like 21 oz.
Thanks a ton to @neph93 for picking them out (if you did). I'm not sure about who chipped in on them or who did what or who decided these were it.
@LewisStonehouse @sabergirl @Giles @Oaktavia @goosehd like I'm so grateful for them and I am really enjoying them…. A lot. I have been sleeping in them and where them as much as possible to try and get some fades for you, to show my gratitude. I absolutely love them and I sincerely appreciate how kind everyone is to me (from the bottom of my heart).

@Filthy Sorry to hear about your Steelers loss…SIKE!
Super glad to hear about your admiration of the 19oz beasts! My jacket version is still hung up and coincidentally I did pull it from my closet to check out the fades from previous seasons. I'm stoked to start wearing it again.
Interesting that you say your pair is softer or soft as any other denim you've tried. Mine is still super hairy and rough, but for a jacket that is ideal for me. I wouldn't mind if it eventually softens up, but something about a hairy rough outer shell works for me (Bigfoot).
Stoked to see how yours fade and develop over time. An awesome fall/winter project.

My 19L are starting to get this ethereal electric blue color I wanted to show you.
They are extremely soft and comfy now. But it seems like they are like a barometer. The cooler and dryer the air, the softer they feel.

Insanely beautiful, I'll pick up a pair of these in the 555 someday [emoji1374]

Got these a couple of months ago and am now a 634 fan and a lefty fan as well.
I’m wearing them to work bi-weekly and even though I ride my bike to work, they haven’t quite given up much indigo yet.
But I know when they do start, it’s going to be good stuff. -
It's crazy how much softer they are than when I first got them. Like they were as rough as Oni secret denim is. Kind of a surprise for something Iron Heart.
It's crazy how soft they are and yet still have their amazing rigidity. They have whiskers and combs from the waistband all the way down to the cuffs.
@T4920 yeah I think you'll love them. They have been interesting to wear their texture has evolved so much. They aren't super thick and bulky and yet they were crazy stiff and still are stiff AF.
@dinobarnesberlin I have been wearing them at least a few hours every day and now that they are broken in, I have been wearing them around the clock and sleeping in them. They are now every bit as comfortable as my 21L if not slightly softer now because of their hairiness. They are still remarkably stiff for being so soft. I have been soaking them about every two weeks to keep them not smelly. I did the math and it only costs about 25¢ to dry them on two box fans for 8 hours. They use a total of 100 watts per hour on the medium setting.
They are the stiffest and yet comfiest pajamas I ever had.
@Oaktavia I'm watching the Steelers be mediocre again in them right now. Just as mediocre, a lot less rapey.

I went outside for a second to get a whiskers pic.
-
The sun briefly came out so I took the opportunity to go outside in my underwear and take a couple more pictures.
This is my favorite detail about these jeans… How curly the selvedge ends are. It makes some interesting fade patterns and awesome train tracks on the outseams and there's a curl on the right inseam too.
The honeycombs are super interesting and they have a ton of character and depth. The sun vanished again so they don't appear as bright.
