IHM-37-ODG - Oiled Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Olive Drab Green
-
I picked one up in person from Self Edge SF over the weekend and they mentioned it could be a few days before they have them added to their site. Might be worth a call if you're searching.
And yet you haven't posted an awesome fit pic yet?
I'll get some posted this evening! I'm 5'11 165lbs and went with a medium. Fits nicely and I could wear a UHF if I wanted to. Photos to come.

Got mine today from witheredfig… live on jamesdant right now as well.

Mine arrived today and its fantastic - i love the colour and the oiled whipcord feels really nice. I do also have an N1 in black that i love, and is my go to winter coat, so i like that this new oiled one is slightly different - i think they have actually managed to improve what was already the best N1 out there in my opinion….these really should become an iron heart staple!

This sucks…. Literally just got the regular olive n1 from Iron Shop Provisions and then seen this. Looks so much more sleeker without the stitching for the pockets. Bummmer.

For anyone still trying to find one of those elusive Size Mediums…it looks like Iron Shop Provisions just posted their inventory and have at least one more in stock. On launch day, I was logged into the UK site instead of the American site and the Mediums sold out in a matter of minutes. For the last few days I have been stalking all of the US Stockists and keep missing the Mediums. I was finally able to grab one at ISP...I feel super lucky to have finally found a Medium...thrilled in fact!!!

I have the regular OD version N1 and to be fair, it is a pretty great jacket!

Which is why we expose the full collection in advance on IG and in the dedicated seasonal collection thread, that way people can make informed decisions on how they spend…..

personally i love the usual pocket design on the iron heart N1, and it is what originally attracted me to the iron heart version - its probably the only thing i miss with the new oiled one, although i do actually like the style of that one too (plus it is a little different which is nice)
-
I’m loving the new pockets! No more squashed fingers at the footie!
I can feel the extra warmth factor as well. -

I agree with you 100%…the reason that the classic IH Olive N1 initially caught my eye, was because of the exterior pocket design. I love that jacket and it has become my primary winter coat.
However, the guys at Iron Heart are marketing geniuses...the new oiled N1 is JUST different enough from the classic version to make it non-redundant to own both. The new cleaner pocket design and more importantly the dark brown Alpaca lining and the oil finish make this new version look completely different.
If the oiled version was just my Olive jacket with an oil finish, there is no way I could justify owning both, but with the darker collar and new pockets...it has a completely unique look and feel and became a "must-have" this season. Well done IH:)

Man. This N1 is the tits. I adore my TRM N1, but I can make room for this one as well. New pockets are a welcome change. Seems like this is popular enough they make it extant so hopefully next year I will grab one.

That’s a great fit @IH-GARY
Awesome to see what this jacket looks like when there’s some layering going on.
-
Got mine in today and damn what a substantial piece. Never had a coat where it actually feels like it needs to break in….crazy badass. Thing will last for a lot of years well done guys!!

Got mine today! Absolutely amazing jacket. 2XL UHF are comfortable but slim. Went with XL since that was all that was in stock. I can squeeze a UHF under it and zip it, but it gets cramped. Plus I live in East Texas, so we don’t need too much layering here anyway. With just a T-shirt when zipped it kinda looks like it’s tight, but I have plenty of room. No problems with tightness in the shoulders and chest, I have great ROM for such a heavy duty jacket. I was worried since it doesn’t have a bi swing back. The hand warmers are honestly one of my favorite parts, sooooo cozy. I don’t think I will have much success buttoning the collar.

Great fit @CrowRobot! I got an XL too and I'm a bit nervous. Should be in today. Im also an XXL in UHFs so seeing your fit my hopes are higher for a perfect fit.

PSA: for anyone still hunting for a Size Medium…it looks like a whole truckload of them was just posted on Self Edge in the US...good luck gentleman:)

As long as the XXL UHF is nice and comfortable, you should be perfect!
Great fit, and judging by the sleeve length you nailed it.
Also, best grumpy face I've seen on here in a long time!Oh the sleeves are a little long, but luckily there are the cuff buttons!
I swear I am a cheerful fella, I just have resting angry face lol.
