IHSH-218-BLK - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt "The Johnny Cash III" - Superblack
-
The Man in Black’ is again the inspiration for this black denim western shirt, AKA ‘The Johnny Cash lll’. The 12oz black selvedge denim has reactive dyed warp and weft so that the shirt will retain its stealth look and will not fade with wear.
We have decided that the fabric has probably been subtly changed on these without anyone telling us. We do not find this shirt fades with time, even a little bit (of course it ages, but does not fade). We have updated the product to reflect this.
Thanks so much for this beta as this was exactly what I was wondering : does this shirt fade at all?
Just put mine back on and I see neary a fade anyway after 2 years of intermittent albeit not enough wear
cheers, Shan -
my measuring is always off.
I'm XL in 9oz Selvedge Ombré Check Western Shirt and XL in Murasaki but when I measure theses 2 shirts that fit me good the measurements are not the same as in the sizing details on each of those shirts
.Would an XL of the Johnny Cash be a shirt fit for me? -
Cash was on my wishlist so when it restocked I went to pick it up from my local retailer. But the sleeves was too short on the one large they have. And XL was to boxy in the chest for me. I went home and wrote to IH and Ben managed to find one with longer sleeves and what looked like perfect measurements for me. It came today. I think it’s spot on. I know what to wear tomorrow at new year .
Have a great one

100% perfect fit if you ask me
happy new year ! -

@PJ That looks like a perfect tailored fit. I was also so keen to get this shirt, but the measurements did not work out for me. I went with the 295-BB, fade to gray denim. Nevertheless, the JC is a great shirt to have in the collection.

Thx guys [emoji1690]
@the246guy I was bummed when the measurements didn’t fit me but IH solved that one perfectly . The 295 is a great choice and perfect for the fades. I’m gonna use the Cash a lot for my work as a representative so it suits me fine that it won’t fade to grey.
Happy new year .Peter

Could not resist any longer. Ordered 1 and asked for the shortest sleeves because I have short limbs
Can't wait. -
Hello guys, small question here, i recently bought a Johnny Cash from the website and last week a really great offer appears on the net that I couldn't refuse.
This one was also marked as a Johnny Cash version, ok but when i received it, the chainstitch were differents, full black on the one of the website and yellow on the other one.Is there any chance the yellow one is also a Johnny Cash?
Thanks in advance

https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=4863.0It really seems it's one of the two older versions yes, hard to believe when you see the condition, it's brand new ???

my guess would be it's the 2, as that would be the non fade version. given the assumed age and that it should have seen one or two washes, the 2 is probably the most realistic.
The person whom sold me the shirt said to me he wore less than 5 times the shirt and never washed it

Awesome shirt. Picked one up a while back and have worn it only 4 times. I’m a 40-42 collar bone to collar bone, so the sleeve started snug at the end of my collar bones in order to get a more fitted look and avoid ballooning in the mid-section. Had to go with the XL, as a L will not fit my shoulders. It is slowly softening up and changing. The cuffs have a really cool selvedge ID when you roll up the sleeves as well. Very nice and looking forward to the gradual fade.
