IH-526-ODG - Whipcord Modified Type III - Olive Drab Green
-
Great question @wdw. This seems smaller than the type 3s I have from Iron Heart. If they are the same measurements, I think I'll have to size up.
-
Yeah, the chest is smaller than others. I had the same problem last time and just couldn't get one to fit my chest without being too long. I had hoped it might change with the restock.
-
Sounds like we're in the same boat, @wdw. Fingers crossed they are different.
-
Welp. Spoke too soon.
-
Looks good. You can roll up the sleeves maybe? It has that cool corduroy there, right?
-
Yep, it should. I'd say about a half inch or so in my experience. It's a killer jacket. I have coveted it for quite a while, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
-
Look badass! Love that jacket.
-
That looks perfect. You look like a tall and slender guy and the slightly longer sleeves go well with that physique. But if you want to cuff them, that'll look good too.
I don't anticipate that the sleeves will shorten much, or at all, with creasing since this is whipcord and not denim but maybe they will. Anyone have experience with that?
-
@Paul9221 Thank you for feedback on the fit! Looking over this thread your fit pics contributed to my decision to finally make this purchase.
Concerning creasing affecting resting sleeve length: You’re likely correct, this material probably won’t crease up like denim.
I'm pretty good at helping people spend their money! [emoji14]

Hi, this is my first post, but I've been lurking for a while
I'm a really big fan of the IH-526-ODG olive whipcord type III jacket. I bought it a month ago and the wetter-than-expected British summer has given me ample opportunities to wear it already.
Here's a photo of me wearing it in the Peak District last week:

Lovely shot, a great outfit and a cool first post . . . . . . . . Welcome.
I'm in agreement with Reuben ^.
@going_to_battle, being a Sheffield lad myself the Peak District scenery is very evocative for me -
I'm from Oxfordshire but I went to Ilam Hall in the Peak District when I was 10 years old and I had always wanted to go back, so my wife and I did just that last week. It was great to explore the area and the weather was perfect for wearing Iron Heart gear (not just my jacket but also my IHTL-1301 jumper, for example. I definitely want to go back again as it's so beautiful.

I finally did it. After participating the World Tour I couldn‘t get the jacket out of my head anymore.
The colour, the fabric, the fit. It‘s the perfect denim jacket for me. -
Perfect is right. Great fit and look [emoji106]
