IH-777R-142 - 14oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Tapered Jeans - Indigo
-
Hoping these get close to an inch of shrink being kinda raw but not but kinda…

The new 14oz denim, this a looser weave than the old 14? Prob no where near as loose as the vintage 16 or 18?
This new 14 is Def beautiful compared to the old. Might have to get rid of my 14 and vintage 16 for a pair of these ….

Thanks @Dion!
Tightened em up. Gotta say these are my faves…along with all other IH stuff
-
These always look like black denim in photos. They’re a lovely deep dark indigo.
-
like how they fit after the tighten up @RoxRocks86
did you just hot wash and machine dry or did you do some other dark magic?
i think this might just be your thread

Thanks @madmonday def gave it the Frankenstein chop shop treatment. With hemming the leg opening is slightly larger than I like so took off about 3/4” from the opening and tapered it all the way up the crotch.
Hoping others join. Totally in love with this denim! But will be part of the weekenders rotation so who knows if fades and evo will even happen.

Do you take them to a sew shop, or are you just flipping them inside out and stitching inside the the lock stitch?

@RoxRocks86 thanks for the reply, thought they looked more fitted then the previous image but can never be sure with angles and lighting and all that.
fit looks really good, way to put in the work.

I open up my chop shop. It’s an ugly love child but haven’t had a pair malfunction. I flip the pair inside out, take a pair of jeans I like the measurements of and lay em on top, trace it onto the bottom pair then measure the hem, knee, and thighs to check they’re identical on both legs. Rip 2-3” of the chainstitching on the inseam to unravel the tucked denim then stitch the trace mark on the inseam, cut excess off and zigzag stitch the raw edge a few times. For insurance and peace of mind an extra straight stitch up the inseam helps. Then redo the open section on the hem. My first 21 oz. pair I did a topstitch. Needed to open up both outseam and inseam but followed a similar sequence.
