IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo/Black

Kneeling down to do stuff for more than a few minutes does seem to produce heightened risk of trombosis however!
True story! This too, will pass however. I don’t think the version of the XHS is quite as mean-spirited as the earlier batches of the standard XHS. Whether that is the different dyeing process, or just something with the weave, I don’t know. But bending down in 25oz slim cut jeans is always going to be interesting [emoji1]

An update from my pair after 8 weeks of wear. Some evo starting to manifest itself already! I'm really enjoying wearing these. I didn't find them as hard to break in as I had expected. Kneeling down to do stuff for more than a few minutes does seem to produce heightened risk of trombosis however!
We have the same kit dude! Awesome.

Hey @Oaktavia! Yes, I noticed that too! From top to toe: jacket, jeans, and boots. You have great taste, man!

Haha as do you. Wearing mine today!

@alexswords is right about the sun.

Wow! Looking great y’all!
I’m just clocking in on day one here. Wore them to work, might take a break tomorrow though, cuz the back of my knees are raw! I’ve never really understood the pain people describe when wearing new denim, but I fully do now.
But I’m super pleased with the fit on these. Bought em cuz I’ve always wanted this pair and I took advantage of the recent sale (do they do that every season?)
Wearing a new IHSH-176 too…Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You might as well just carry on wearing them as day 2 will be the same whether it is now or in March. Using them is the only thing that softens them. All part of the vaguely masochistic fun of 25oz denim [emoji1]
…
IH International rarely do the same thing in terms of sales two years in a row. There is always something a couple of times a year, but form and timing vary. Keeps us on our toes [emoji6]
Jeans are looking great btw! Fantastic score.

Heck yeah dude, that makes two new pairs for the forum. Stoked to see how each of us fades them a little differently.

You're totally right. I got up today and put them on immediately! Gotta say that I absolutely love the fit, so that will make the whole ordeal easier to deal with.
I did have to stand up in the middle of a work meeting yesterday to get some blood flow down past my knees !!!
and thanks @Oaktavia your jeans are looking amazing! How long have you been wearing them?
I just feel bad for my Prontos now
Can't wait to see some progression… -
@Smiladon My first wear was was February 15, 2019. I have been wearing them 2-3 times a week every week minus mid June to late August. I have been tallying 124 wears so far.
Oh! youre sleepy wizard! Your IG posts are what resparked my desire for these jeans. I thank you.
I just hope my wife never finds out how much these things actually cost!

Haha yes indeed. How tall are you? I'm 6' 3" but still need to cuff my pair (unhemmed) twice to fit nicely. I think I have short legs compared to my torso.

Maybe wait to tell her after the fades evolve. Perhaps she'll understand after

You're right there, she was the first woman to comment/appreciate on my selvedge and boots, on our first date, i knew she was the one (kind of joking but kinda not) She's very supportive…
to a point.I'm 6'7" and love that I can give these, and my other IHs, a decent cuff.

I have a visible mark on my hip from where I got a blister from my UHR's a couple of years ago. Am yet to take the 25oz plunge.
Top work from everyone in this thread, great fades.
@AdamJ I have that too! But not from these jeans, but from my 777s-21. Which seems strange, since that fabric is much softer and more supple compared to the XHSib. So I reckon it must be a combination of the cut (low rise waist band chafing on my hip bone) and an unforgiving belt…
All part of the "vaguely masochistic fun" of wearing heavyweight denim, to quote @neph93

The top block on the 777 is pretty trim and supple or not a 21oz denim waist band is not to be f**cked with
