IHWE-MRLOU-BLK - Wesco® - 10" Horsehide Pull-On "Mister Lou" Engineer Boot - Black
-
Cheers guys.
Thanks for clearing up lenght and width. I was really confused about the width too. I saw that standart & strange only stocks E width. So I thought that was “normal” width. I guess I can go with the D width then. -
People seem to differ wildly in their approach to shoe fittings. Some folks seem put out by what others would consider acceptable wiggle room. Some folks experience discomfort where others are not plagued. My point being, take what I’m about to say with a pinch of salt…
I have Wesco’s in both E and D sizing. I have a relatively wide foot and take E in most high street brands, or have to size up in length for slimmer sneaker profiles like Adidas Originals or Converse.
In the Wesco MP toe I can do a D just fine. The exception being the oil tanned leathers where I prefer an E, because of the thickness and lack of flex.

Finally pulled the trigger on these boots. Took a 10E and the fit is spot on!!! “Fits like a glove”
The boots are absolutely amazing!!! Coming from Redwings this is next level. Not to hate on Redwing or anything like that.
And I have to compliment on the handling of my order and shipping.
I ordered these boots Yesterday at 15.00 local time here in Denmark and they were delivered today at 12.00 local time. STOKED!!!!!!
CHEERS!!!
Thanks for all the help. -
Loving mine, both a great fit and look. Starting to ripple nicely now.

@WeirdowithaBeardo thanks for sharing this pic mate, both pairs you have seem to be coming along VERY nicely. Would love to see any more pics you have to help me choose between them. Both boot threads it seems are deprived of some 'used' pictorial updates.
I've been wrangling over which leather to opt for. Appreciating its an entirely personal decision I have to make, but want to ask if you have a personal favourite between them?
Airing my thoughts: Most if not all my boots, are brown, which leans me 75% to the black, plus when they are broken in, man don't they look the ticket.
In brown, they seems to just look great out the box and compliments indigo on another dimension, plus I prefer the brass hardware.
Help man, I'm desperate and torn, before my size gets snapped up, again!
@Giles buying both colourways is not the solution

Hi there
Sorry for the delay. I can’t decide which pair I prefer, like you I have mostly brown boots but after I bought these in brown and were so good I went and picked up the black too. I think, and just my view, the black look a little smarter, the brown more rugged. Both fit really well and are wearing in pretty much equally. I think subconsciously I go to the black first for some reason. -
Thanks @WeirdowithaBeardo , it’s brilliant you’ve added more pics too, I’ll certainly not be the only one to appreciate this. If mine build the character yours are displaying, I’ve a fear that a brown pair may one day get a look in too.

Thank you. I look forward to seeing your choice(s)!

They’ve crossed my mind @Giles believe me. However I can lack imagination, and some visual stimulus to see how these products would fare would help, hence me pleading here for pics.
The nattys no doubt possess the greatest potential, but as I’m personally buying into how they’ll look in 2 years time, a picture of a time worn pair would certainly get my slippy finger sliding again! I know these are new, so that’s not gonna always be possible, but to make my point, Redwings USA once included, alongside pics of a fresh pair, a photo of a totally broken in pair of their 8083’s, I was immediately soled,my first pair of boots in fact.
Only a few things in life grow more beautiful with wear than a pair of Wesco’s. -
Well, to put it mildly, after some 'initial wrestling' I feared these were just not right for me as I simply could not get my feet inside.
Gotta share my gratitude to @Chesson without your help today man, I think I may have given up, or at some point soon passed out!
Now my feet are in, I love em!
