IHSH-250-IND - 5oz Selvedge Cotton Linen Chambray Short-Sleeved Work Shirt
-
Nice write up and comparison @Wlemon, thanks. As you say, the IHSH-13-BLU and IHSH-21-BLU are the same material. The colour variation can come from different batches or their age/usage, or both. Also worth noting that they aren’t indigo dyed while the IHSH-250-IND is.
Finally, while they are both chambray, the linen will make a difference to the hand, as will the fact that the 250 fabric is only half the weight per square yard if the 13 and 21. The latter come in at 10oz.
Edit: they also all look great on you.

Got this shirt in the mail today. The crew really knocked it out of the park with this one!

@neph93 Thanks. Love the weight. Living in Los Angeles, it makes some of the shirts harder to wear year-round, so this is a nice one to have in the rotation. I remember, last summer, wearing the Cash shirt out in August and several people asked why I was wearing a jacket. Do they not know the price of fashion? Anyway, interesting to hear its indigo dyed. You can tell, now that I think of it. I am sure that's why it appears shiny when compared to the others. I wonder if this will caused it to fade since the others are colorfast? Time will tell.

That's me not paying attention to what I'm buying, @Giles, and says more about me than your product description imo. If you just listed that it was indigo dyed in the description, that's a little disingenuous because not both the warp and weft are indigo dyed, right?
-
When I read the warp was indigo dyed, I suppose it just didn't sink in. Can I blame it on being stuck in a house with two little girls under five for the past month? I'm going to blame it on them if that's alright with you all. Or I can blame it solely on Covid-19. Or both. You pick.
@neph93 when I'm teaching, I can get away with wearing IH any day, even in the summer. Since I'm inside, and the college always seems to keep the building cold, I like having something that's a little heavier. The issue is when I'm not teaching. If I'm at home, like I am now, wearing an IHSH-33 in the summer wouldn't be possible. (Well, it's possible but not practical.) The madras and this one are going to be great since my school is online only until at least August, maybe longer.

A quick walk around the neighborhood in the new shirt.
-
Nice family pic @Wlemon . The 250 now looks pale next to your girls’ blue!
-
Thank you @motojobobo. It really does look pale. They're wearing these really vibrant dresses made of blue (French blue?) ripstop fabric.

You have a beautiful Family. The IHSH-250 is a perfect short sleeve in my opinion.

Loving this - perfect summer shirt

So I bought this shirt in my usually dependable XXL and the chest measurements looked reasonable if a tad bit snug, but I find that it's pulling quite a bit in the chest now that I've tried it on. I like the way it drapes otherwise and I'm unsure if I should try for a size up or just return it. Thoughts?
-
I would size up and give it a warm wash/machine dry.
