careful what you wish for… @Anesthetist

Think I counted on the back rise too much to make up for the front rise. As @Alex said re 555 looks like a geezer trying too hard.
Other than that I really like the rest of the cut. -
I think those look excellent @steelworker . Not least with those boots.
-
Those are perfect! Great fit you Geezer [emoji6]

I'm about to order and according the waist measurements on the size chart, I should order a tag size two sizes smaller than other IH jeans that I've tried on. I guess the numbers are the numbers, but it makes me a bit nervous. Have you all been sizing down? Will it really stretch an inch or two in the waist?
For reference, the 888S seemed about right in a 34, but the thigh was too big. The 32 seems right on paper in the NO-LOT, but I've never ordered jeans in a 32 in my life!
Thanks for your advice!

The waist will certainly stretch one inch, probably a little more, and possibly as much as two inches.
Owning different tag sizes is not unusual. I have IH jeans that fit and that I wear, that range from tagged size W33 to W35. In actual measurements the jeans range from 34” to 36”. Because of differences is cuts, rises and fits they all work well, in different ways. So what you describe is not impossible in theory.
Take care with the thigh though. The 888 is a relaxed cut, the thigh is intended to be big if you go TTS. The NO-LOT is a slimmer cut, not least in the thigh. You want a smaller thigh by the sounds of things but it could get too small real quick.

Ignore tag-size. Go by the actual measurements. There is always some variance between tag-size and actual waist size between different cuts/denims, that is why we publish actuals…..
The actuals of the IH-NO-LOT are particularly at variance from tag. But the actuals are the actuals....

Oh these feel nice [emoji3590]
Def my slimmest fitting pant in a long time but they feel good. I think the last pair I had this slim was the prototype 555-03 which gave me bruises behind my knee. These are much more comfortable and should stretch out a little bit [emoji106]
