IHSH-361-BLK - 16oz Non-Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Superblack (Fades To Grey)

For anyone that has bought this shirt, how would you rate the breathability of it? I'm guessing it's on the more substantial side. Just wondering if it would be a good layering piece or better as a light jacket replacement

Would work as a jacket without a doubt

@Kasi Thanks man, might opt for the 12oz JC instead since I like to be able to wear my IH tops under a leather jacket or something
-
@Link-Of-Time - don’t get the sense that it will breathe too much. As @Oaktavia said, it seems even more substantial that the 18oz 292 - I have the 293 and reckon this seems more substantial
-
@Link-Of-Time can’t comment on this shirt, but JC is a great option for layering if you don’t mind slower progress on the fades.

Good news got rid of the fold creases .
Straight forward ironed them out , placed a thick towel over the crease and steamed them out ..Oh I believe I misunderstood your previous post about this. Glad you worked it out though.
-
@Link-Of-Time it's pretty dense and not breathable at all. I think I will to layer it in colder months with 19oz Lefty.
-
What a friggin beast! I like the fit overall, but the armhole is high even for IH.
Pardon the shorts but…. -
nice @Anesthetist

Ditto dude great shirt looks good on you. I noticed my armholes a little high too but they settled after a day of wear.

Tried xxl vs xl at Brund ... decided for xxl... then once more at home and even with a long sleeve waffle knit it felt a tiny bit too large. Returned for the xl and now going with the tighter fit. First pic xxl, second xl. Proves that when between sizes even trying on in store is tricky.
-
Agreed, XL looks comfortable but still a tailored fit. Nicely done!

Just ordered could not resist.
first thought of the CPO, but it’s time for a western shirt again as I have both 18oz CPOs -
Late to the party.
