Summer Denim Project (12 Weeks, 12 Washes)
Week three, (4th wash, spaghetti accident, don't ask...) post-wash pictures:
Reached 30°c (86°f) in the UK last week, and these were still very wearable. The thicker, slubby yarns are really starting to shine through, giving a lovely, but subtle 'raindrop effect' to the fabric.
For the last 15 years, I've never ventured or outside the 'wash your jeans as little as possible' camp, but since joining this forum I've come to appreciate the denim itself, rather than the intensity of the fades we're able to project upon it.
This 18oz Vintage is by far my favourite denim I've ever owned, and I'll commit to wearing these for 3 months each year with weekly washes until they disintegrate.

@T4920 amazing project! But what about that spaghetti??

Summer Denim Project (12 Weeks, 12 Washes)
Week five (6th wash) post-wash pictures:
Coming along nicely, these looks fully electric blue in the right light now!
Wallet fade and subtle honeycombs start to come through too, moreso than I thought they would with such regular washing...

That's a wrap on my first season in these..
Four months wear, fifteen washes.
They've held their colour a lot more than I expected them to with such regular machine washes, but I plan on putting them through the ringer again next summer!
Just love the subtle slub and texture on these, glad I had the opportunity to grab these for a great price from @George-Homme to do this experiment that went against my innate desire to rarely wash my jeans
-
@T4920 They look very different from my 18oz vintage, but your wash routine has really brought out so much of the crosshatch texture that I love about this denim. It makes me want to wash mine more.

@WhiskeySandwich in all honesty, they may be the original 18oz... bought them pre-owned and as far as I can see, both used the same leather patch...
Maybe @Giles could weigh in?
Either way, I agree that they look amazing
