Rofmia bag incoming!

I have a Barnes and Moore roller buckle belt - superb quality for a reasonable price imo

Here she is in all her glory! After several months waiting for a restock, it finally happened. Luckily shipping was super fast and I will have the chance to load it up all weekend. Also arriving today was an Evergoods CAP2 in undyed. I think they match aesthetically, although in hindsight the CAP will take up a bit of space. Will have to play around and figure it out.
The packaging is beautiful:Kaboom!
Next to it’s new brother, Nomin V1

You dig it @Anesthetist ? I think the little details show up in usage that have made me so fond of it.
I got the type an and type b expansion and they are going to be great for a trip to India soon. Either on this or my defy bag. They way they made the connectors they will fix in place on any strap or molle points.
Fidlock and aqua guard access. They have lanyards to wear independently if needed and are very thin and flat so you could stow them in their bag and add capacity as needed.
Also got this cable and electronics organizer to complete the set. Seems made to slot into the top interior pocket in the main compartment.
Love it!
EDIT I realized I didn’t have the attachments on in the optimal config and fixed it. Glasses case vertically oriented with the fidlock closure now. The side zipper is a different pocket and the glasses case lined with a soft mesh. My JMM Walkers in their case just barely fit just in case other Mage wearers ever get one.
The chest pocket is so expandable and will be perfect for a passport and phone. Combined with the retractable iPod pro case thing this is EDC tech wear nerd-vana

I DEF dig it and already have emptied my other bags to get it organized. I will have to take a look at those add ons, I love to add more modularity to a bag. Also considered one of Outlier’s magnetized snap on kits for a strap. Thanks again for all the recs and help!
-
@Anesthetist very much my literal pleasure, and I’m so glad you like it as I knew you would.
The attachments are definitely worth it and they got here super fast.
I’m not really sure that the other pouch was really necessary (love it and will probably use it in lieu of one of my other organizer bags—not the Porter through!) but the chest attachments are sick and don’t get in the way as I expected them to.
-
I might get the sunglass sized pouch, that looks super handy. You still loving the Porter organizer?

An assortment of bags for triathlon gear. The red bag was swag from the 70.3 Weymouth last year and the blue one is for Vichy ‘23. My north face duffels are 15-20 years old. The plastic bags are for transitions. After the swim you pick up the blue bag for the bike, then the red bag for the second transition before the run. The clear bag is for everything you’ll want after the race.

@Anesthetist I am loving it, but it is in danger of being kicked out of its role (office supplies organization) in my business travel load out. The advantages of it are in its extreme organization per cubic inch and abilities as a standalone sling, but the disadvantage is that this requires space and I now have two other sling-able bags that also attach. So it could be that I transition the Porter to other roles and use the Rofmia organizer insert instead for organizing office supplies. I’m playing with this now and think it’s the way forward, which will free up the Porter to live with my Defy VerBockel VX which I use as my main one-bag solution. An advantage of using the organizer in the top main compartment is that using an insert creates separate space in the pocket but outside the organizer for things like business card holders that lived in the Porter.
You’re on the right track IMO to think about the glasses pouch. Already it has changed how I am storing things and freed up the pouch above the laptop slot for power brick storage instead of sunglasses. Makes more organizational sense and reduces the need to sling off the shoulder to access something that gets accessed frequently. Plus: Fidlock!
The chest pocket is probably something that will usually be stowed in the bottom main compartment dump pocket and mounted on the chest only when needed for capacity or convenience. India will be a good time for that because a ready passport, wallet, and phone will be nice.
All in all these things give the modular expandability you mentioned and make a pack that already is very good at off the shoulder access require your going off the shoulder less often.
Edit because I’m too embarrassed to add yet another post about it but just check out this horsehide and stitching.

Evergoods and Carryology are releasing a new collaboration in a few days. It's basically the Evergoods range of products but made from a Halley-Stevenson waxed cotton rather than modern, technical fabrics.
There will be a backpack, duffel, waist pack, and organiser pouch. They're being made in black and brown, with very limited numbers in orange and dark green.

GoRuck have found a few GR1 Samurais at the back of the storeroom that they did for Carryology earlier this year. So if you missed out the first time...

I do love a bag. But seven hundred dollars for a backpack is taking the piss a bit!

Been a long time since I checked in. I’ve missed this thread. I see all the similar names so none of us have been cured of our bag addiction, I know I haven’t.

Hey @veloaudio ! Nice to “see” you
-
@veloaudio I'm down to one backpack, and it's falling apart, so I need to get something new.

@Graeme I suggest the Bole Prince Rucksack
