IHSH-361-BLK - 16oz Non-Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Superblack (Fades To Grey)
-
@Deonte1719 hoooooo doggy!!! hats off on not messing the feck around on your first go. Couldn't agree more on all of the above... wear it hard/wear it often. If you want an OCD care approach (two thumbs pointing at myself, "this guy!"); this fabric is so cronchy, I pre-soaked my CPO, not to remove any chemicals but to ease up on any unwanted/unnatural fold creases/fades @Daniel-San style. I am also planning on hand washing/line drying mine for the first couple washes to avoid marbling.
-
that’s the way mate
-
100% agree with @flannel-slut @Oaktavia @Daniel-San and all , If the fold creases bother you out of the package, you can wet/soak it, and wear briefly while damp to smooth out the creases and set some natural ones that bend with your body. Then just don't take it off until it gets funky, and soak it in some suds.
-
@flannel-slut I’m excited. My job requires me to wear a suit and tie but I will be wearing this in between those times. I just wanna cool black shirt that looks better with age, stays fitted, and lasts forever. Buy it nice or buy it twice (or more)
-
@Deonte1719 check, check, check and CHECK! Wise approach, I lived in the "or more" category for far too long. be excited man, be very excited.

-
@Pipeboss713 hell yeah man. How many days are you in (if you keep tally)? I am at 17 due to mainly wearing the 19oz CPO sample mostly. Still seeing significant evo rapidly.
-
Day one...its incredible
-
crosspost! because this is the same thing as my 362:
Request for pics!!! I'm wondering if anyone's been regularly washing their 16oz... I've been keeping mine pretty nasty with daily wear since this dropped and only one soapy soak after camping out. I'm curious how soft this will get and how much it'll lighten. My wife keeps calling this one my "cardboard jacket" and refuses to wear it, opting instead for a UHF lol. I'm holding out as long as possible for sharp fades before picking up a washing routine. -
@WhiskeySandwich some marbling going on after 1 wash (inside out..pre soak..no spin). I am not going to baby this beast, so curious where this is going
-
@Tobi nice to hear you won't be babying yours! I love to see the process of both holding out on washing like @WhiskeySandwich and the opposite. It's fun to do that with different shirts too to add to the variety and being able to baby some shirts and go hard af on others. It makes less pressure to have crispy fades compared to vintagey fades. Some come faster and less time consuming than others...my two cents thrown out there.
-
Nice @Tobi . I'm not opposed to marbling. I also agree this beast doesn't need to be babied. It will all end up displaying the character of it's wearer eventually. I just like seeing how the same items evolve in the hands of other characters! I love seeing pieces that have been washed a billion times compared to those seldom washed. The results are always cool no matter what the process.

@Oaktavia dude, you read my mind bro

We're in the same headspace. I plan on babying mine too and holding off on machine washing for as long as I can stand it. The only thing in my way (so to speak) is the 19oz CPO Sample I have been wearing religiously. I'm only at 17 wears with my SBG but do plan to wear it tomorrow.
-
@Oaktavia hell yeah. Well I completely understand the focus on the 19oz IB, that sucker is epic. Don't matter how long it takes, I'm enjoying seeing both evolve.

@WhiskeySandwich I own a very heavily worn and washed second hand IHSH-08 that I bought off the forum a few years ago. Basically, an earlier version of this shirt, as in same weight, super tight weave--except that my version is non-fade. So the color is still black, but the stiffness hasn't gone. Still a cardboard shirt! I'm wearing it right now.

@Lowlander photos please!

Sure, I can post a few tomorrow when there's daylight again.
