WOW...those Mediums go FAST...I have been waiting to jump on this one since last year...love it!
-
Hum, restock notification not much use when they sell in 2 minutes. Don't we usually get an advance heads up in here? I saw one for the lined M65, maybe that was actually for this? Ah well, restock notification submitted, see you in 2024!

Super bummed to have missed out this year. Was refreshing this morning before work and saw that the product page was offline, so I assumed it was today. Unfortunately, by the time I got out of my first meeting, the two sizes I was considering were both out of stock.
-
@Napa-Transplant Have you tried any of the stockists? With that many listed, surely someone has your size in stock.
-
@AdamJ I should know the answer to this, but does the stockist list in the first post reflect the latest info?
-
@goosehd Thanks, I ended up going with Franklin & Poe. I was leaning XS after the discussion above, particularly the comment from @the246guy , but I think that trying to make that happen in the States may not be possible. I rolled the dice and asked for the small side of whatever they had in small. Fingers crossed that turns out.

@Napa-Transplant Good luck and a choice I’ve made many times over the years. It’s always worked out for me as there are a lot of really great IH vendors out there.
Let us know how it works out.

@AdamJ Nice one, thanks Adam, I'll have a look around the webs.

If it helps (only a few L left), I just got this in large and it fits perfectly. I'm 6'1/195lbs/42" chest/19" shoulder. Medium would have been way too small. XL would be necessary with a larger chest imo. Really amazing jacket - I have an old M65 from somewhere else and this blows it away. Won't regret buying it imo.

@Giles said in IHM-27-OLV - Sateen M-65 Field Jacket - Olive:
You can't undo the stitching, it forms part of the construction of the pocket. You need to cut the label in half between the 2 rows of stitching and then deconstruct the label, it carries risks, I screwed up a customer's shirt once when he asked me to do it..
Or get a black Sharpie…
For those who are interested, I gave it a try nevertheless and removed the Iron Heart label on the left front pocket (I just don't like labels on clothes ). Altogether, I am very happy with the end result (see below). Removing it was rather easy, however as the next step, I needed to carefully pull out the black yarn rests - I first thought that there were larger holes, but luckily it was just the yarn. The remaining marks are barely noticeable now, and will likely be invisible after the first wash.
-
Brave. I would just spend $10 to have a tailor remove it. But I like the labels.
-
Just got one in L, I am 188cm tall, 84kg, 42'' chest.
I would be able to go with XL too, but I am still ok with layering underneath so all good.
The jacket is absolutely amazing. Top quality throughout, I am so glad I got it!I am wondering if it's possible to add a liner to this sateen version? There are no snaps/buttons to add a liner, would tailors be able to add them if provided with liner (some third party m65 one) do you think? Or is this model too far away from other m65s?
-
@init616 I’d just layer it. Sewing in buttons or loops for a liner is going to make it look like a Frankenstein jacket. I’m sure a tailor could help you figure it out if you’re insistent. Personally I find this jacket warm down to 10c with layers.

X post from WAYWT.. when I fell down this IH rabbit hole, I told myself jeans and the occasional flannel would be enough. How wrong was I

Love the colour combos
