@Fadez haha that would be rad! ever since the arborists cut down 14 trees on the property, the logs have provided so much. The mushrooms started popping up in summer 2023 and have been fruiting weekly since! Half the time though, they are already eaten by slugs or are just past their prime. I found a beautiful cluster earlier this week that was untouched but all dried out. I was like

@Oaktavia here’s a link to the full story…apologies if it doesn’t work. Just kind of about how mushroom hunters discover lots of things because they’re so focused on the ground. And in Missouri apparently that includes lots of “remains”.

@Oaktavia yeah it seemed to be on off season her for morels as well, we have a spot where we usually find a bunch but found less than 10 this year , always happy with whatever we can find though . This was my first time finding the golden oyster , I have to say I like them a lot ,maybe more than morels !
