Love these Battenwear climbing pants. They're “easy pants” that you can lounge around in but still wear in other settings. They have a gusseted crotch and 4-way stretch and dry quickly but don’t look or even feel super technical.
Pockets are zippered and there’s an integrated webbing belt that you pull to tighten at a fixed tightness.
Detail of the face slub and brushed reverse

I have always liked Lee Jeans, haven't worn them in years. I was inspired by the pair that @Giles is selling. The jeans are reproduction Lee 101Z, The jacket is vintage from my closet, never worn or washed.
-
@ROman The very first denim jacket I ever owned was a 101J that I purchased from working summer jobs in 1987 on construction sites with my dad. We were digging out a basement by hand because we couldn’t get any equipment in there (nor could we afford to rent any). My dad had a crew of two guys, himself, and me at 15 years old working as hard as any of the other guys there. My dad pulled me to the side, mentioned how proud he was of me for the way I worked and said that he was going to pay me what he paid them.
With the money I saved that summer, the Lee was my purchase…only wish I knew where it was and that I could still fit into it

@popvulture Miriam Weems, oil on canvas

@mclaincausey aw right on! I knew Miriam, sweet lady.
Not sure if you know Chip Sheppard, but he’s a Jacksonian and a really talented artist. It’s not a full time gig for him but I think he’s doing more and more with it.
-
I don’t know Chip. Do you know Miriam’s son Baxter? Great fella and incredible talent. She was such a sweet person, loved her.
I don’t know him personally but I love Patrick Puckett’s work too. He’s also from Jackson and a bit younger than I, currently living in Austin. @popvulture

@mclaincausey yep I know both of em! Patrick and Marci actually moved back to Jackson, which surprised me, but I guess they must’ve wanted to be closer to fam.
