Fantastic
-
@popvulture the calendar entry was a day early, sorry! Restock date is 22nd.
-
Good lookin' chart
-
@popvulture indeed, should have waited haha. Wearing them right now and still in love.
-
@Dmart for whatever sort of intangible reason, I feel like 21oz OD is my favorite in terms of comfort. Really psyched to get these in a 634
-
@popvulture They are the most comfy pair I own by far!
-
@Alex or anyone else around and about... Have you started using IH-634S "blanks" one size up then tagging them as size down post-overdye, or has that always been the way? The IH-634s has famously always been bang on in terms of tag size/actual measurement, so I figured the W34 IH-634-B I just ordered, started life as an IH-634S in W35...
-
@neph93 We have not requested any changes on the recent runs of these compared to how they have always been done, which to my knowledge is just to dye indigo ones as tagged then attach a patch, but looking at the measurments you theory may be correct. Maybe @Giles can remember the original method that was devised

When we did the IH-634S-B, we completely redid the pattern to try and get the OD version and the indigo version as close as possible. We did that with all very early iterations of indigo and the OD equivalent. But a series of bad repatterning led us to keep the same pattern for both variants and live with the size variance.
EDIT. But we never bothered reverting to a single patten for the 634S variants as we had nailed the pattern for the OD version

The ODs seem to come with bigger thigh measurements than similar non-OD versions across different cuts.
-
@Odin43 I thought the opposite.
-
@bluemantra well for my size 31 in 634S, the waist is 31.0 and the thigh is 12.0. In the same size in 634S-B, the waist is 31.5 and the thigh is 12.4. If I wanted a thigh of 12.0 in the 634S-B, I’d have to drop to size 30 which has a waist size of 30.3 which is too small. So I’m stuck with a baggier thigh in 634S-B than I’d want.
-
@Odin43 I see. You could also ask the IH crew if they can find something to accommodate your measurements.
-
@Kasi oh I’m good with my 888 14 oz broken twill ODs. I was just remarking that ODs seem to have wider thighs than like for like non-ODs in my size/research.
-
@Kasi yep and I prefer 634. Also have a pair of 555 and again, I prefer 634
