IHJ-128-BLK - Japanese Horsehide Double Motorcycle Jacket - Black
-
Any pictures of the jacket worn open?
-
How does the veg tan leather on this one compare to the chrome tan leather on the ihj 35/54?
-
@68degreesorless The leather on this jacket is a little more grainy and doesn't have the smooth face that the IHJ-35/54 has, as is to be expected with the different tanning processes
Both have a considerable heft, not seen this latest leather put through it's paces yet so keen to see how it turns out

Thanks @AdamJ

Well had a wild hair up my ass tonight and ordered this jacket! The measurements were just too perfect.
I have an amazing Fine Creek asymmetrical horsehide jacket and I love it but just wish the sleeves were longer. This IH one should fit perfectly
Soooo excited. From the moment I saw these rider style collarless jackets I fell madly in love with their style. And I had a IHJ-64 that I’m still kicking myself for selling.
Pics when I get it.
Too bad spring is quickly coming to an end. -
Hey Guys,
I'm Akash, originally from India but currently residing in Germany. Let me share a bit about myself. I have a deep passion for motorcycles, particularly those of British and Japanese origin. My favorite brands include Norton, Triumph, and Honda. I have a penchant for classic styles, hence my fondness for the former two brands. Leather jackets have always been a part of my wardrobe, and I have quite a collection. I've always admired the craftsmanship of Iron Heart and desired a Japanese-made horsehide leather jacket. Initially, I considered options from freewheelers, and Real McCoy's due to their History and Shinki stuff, but ultimately settled on Iron Heart. During a visit to IH Hamburg, I stumbled upon the IHJ-128 jacket and instantly fell in love with it. The staff at the store were helpful, although I forgot to ask for the name of the person assisting me. While the price was steep, the quality of the jacket justified it. I also tried on some Simmons Bilt jackets, but wasn't satisfied with the finish. Despite some confusion regarding the sizing (the tag indicates size L, but the number on the jacket suggests medium which is 40), I decided to make the purchase. Horsehide leather tends to require a break-in period, and this jacket is notably heavy. Now, I'm unsure about how it fits me. I've taken some photos and would appreciate any suggestions on the fit. My apologies if this isn't the appropriate forum for such inquiries.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I have returned my jacket to Iron heart Hamburg ( Germany ) and awaiting for the refund and was told I can order it by myself on iron heart europe. Also another qtn, in the above pics my shoulders are perfect but everything else is a bit large like the sleeves. if I opt for the size M, what if the jacket gets too small at the shoulders ?confused now.
-
@Eza no, IH do not offer sleeve alterations.
Sleeves are long by design due to the the jacket being designed for bikers, as sleeves can ride up when riding a bike.
@akmu I think medium shoulder would look better, but sadly sometimes you have to accept that a certain garment/brand may not be cut in a way that suits your body type.
I tried numerous brands before finding IH fit me perfectly (generally in size large, but once you become acquainted with your own measurements, it makes picking out appropriate sizes based on the charts much easier)

Also with Horsehide I imagine the sleeves will shorten 1 to 1.5 inches when the creasing sets in

Oh yes, she will be mine.
