Yeah, it's not something that some dude at the mall will do, but there are lots of decent repair shops that will be able to do a reasonable quality resole. Call around and ask and you should be able to find a local shop.
If I do a re-sole i'll probably go with Brian, or Alden. I'd eventually like to get a lug sole or commando sole so that my boots have some sort of grip.
-
Yeah that’s why I was wondering about Brian’s branded soles. I’m doing a resole in the next few months. Def commando or something non slip

I am on the horns of a dilemma. Do I pay full buck for a hand crafted pair of Engineer Boots from Brian or accept a cheaper pair from elsewhere which will be great but not as great. Thoughts?
-
I’ve been laboring on the same question.
-
@flannel-slut - which way are you going?
-
@Crispy-Heron I really like the look of Attractions 444 but the teacore on these showing through seem to be more accelerated than what I’m looking for. I would most likely have gone for Lofgrens shinki in black but does not appear to be in stock at the moment. And then there is Role club… double or more the price but for a bespoke pair and based off the reputation, my head is a little more than turned.
-
You sum up the situation well! Role Club look amazing but doubly amazing? Thought Dean Delray in the recent podcast made a compelling case for paying that extra!
-
I both want to listen and at the same time need to avoid that iron cast! I remember having similar thoughts over my first IH purchase which is laughable now given my closet and drawers are overrun with IH

yeah curious how long this 1 man thing can go on.
also curious if this artisanal/quality bubble is going to be to support what he does
He’s still going strong

What are people’s thought on the red stitching with the olive green? I love it but it’s definitely a statement.
-
@Luijim78 I haven’t seen a worn pair of olive greens. Looking forward to wearing them in.
