@twin those look like honey or golden oysters to me. I saw some white ones on stumps in my property but they were a few days too old. One of the clusters was growing feet from my window and I didn't even realize it till yesterday.

@twin nice...how many berries do you need for that?

@Oaktavia I get enough to fill two half gallon canning jars. You put the berries in the jars with 2 cups of sugar on top. Let stand in the sunshine so they become wine.

@twin dang that sounds pretty simple. Had I not hopped on the sober wagon, I'd totally try that.

@Oaktavia You have to keep a lid on but not tight so it can vent. Outside for 3 months or more. The longer the more alcohol in the wine.

Being able to grab a handful of fresh Blackberries on my lunchtime walks is my favourite part of summer in the UK.

@Oaktavia I spend about 5 minutes picking them every day, the bushes surround an entire park so there are enough to last the entire summer...

No one else seems to pick them. My parents would take me there as a child to picks baskets of them for pies and crumble, so I guess the habit stuck!

So nice it's only a short walk from my workplace

@T4920 that is pretty great that you are able to do that. We have wine berries in our yard but I prefer the blackberries.
