@gr8-selvedge Love the shots of the Tricotine and Heavy Flannel. Do you find yourself reaching more for one vs the other? Any notable differences between the two ? From what I've read, it seems that the flannel wears considerably softer with otherwise similar favorable qualities, but it seems that most folks online are focused on the Tricotine.
Curious if others have any comments to add on factors that led to their purchase of one or the other. Thanks!

I love UES flannels.
I had planned to get the Tricotine but grabbed the Extra Heavy Flannel last week. It’s 30C here and middle of summer but had to get it in my size as I’m sure it will sell out by the time the falls comes.
I’m interested in what @gr8-selvedge says about owning both as well. I’m thinking the main difference is the weight and they both seem like they both will give up their indigo nicely. I won’t be opposed to adding the Tricotine if opportunity presents itself.

@stitchdown-shell where did you buy the flannel?
Edit: I see they have them on the UES site now. So very tempting…
-
@Mizmazzle same, been going back and forth on their site trying to decide.
-
@Mizmazzle the 21oz sashiko looks amazing. They have my size in the heavy flannel just waffling back and forth on it too. Almost bought it a little while ago
-
@Mizmazzle They just stocked it on their UES website last week. I picked mine up from Bears from Japan (about the same price as the website). 100% recommend it if you're a fan of UHF and used to exemplary quality and craftsmanship.

Just pulled the trigger on a tricotine shirt in (hopefully) my size. I was leaning towards the extra heavy indigo flannel (Amundsen), but there's always room for another long sleeve in New England.
I'll post some initial impressions once it arrives.
-
@Louisclsu1 congrats dude! I ended up switching the Extra heavy flannel order I made to the selvedge heavy indigo flannel. Stoked to see what its all about....Tricotine looks dope! Not sure why I haven't pulled the trigger on that one yet....

Just arrived! I got it from iron pyrite productions (online, no brick and mortar at this time). Quick delivery, no issues whatsoever. Had a nice back and forth with the business owner as well.
First impressions are quite positive. Substantial in heft at 15 oz, solid construction and fit is great. I could have fit into a size 4 as a shacket, but feel good about the choice of a 3 (6"2, 175). I won't have a chance to break it in for a few more weeks (hopefully) but will post updates.

I grabbed a 14.5oz Indigo flannel from them last week. Wow...I was shocked at how nice it was. I'm a bigger guy 6' 205lb and the size 5 fits perfect with plenty of room like I prefer. 14.5oz is a really heavy fabric but it moves well and is extremely comfortable. I have plenty of IH gear but a heavy flannel has escaped me thus far so I can't give a direct apples to apples comparison between the two products. But I do have several heavy flannels from Freenote Cloth, Indigofera and Naked and Famous and I can say that it stacks up perfectly with FNC, IF and wipes the floor with Naked and Famous. For the price they cannot be beat and if you are fortunate enough to grab one on sale you would be foolish not to pick one up.
I did read in an earlier post that there was a concern with the length of their offerings. Again, I'm 6' tall and the size 5 has plenty of length for me and I prefer my flannels to be a bit oversized. YMMV

@Louisclsu1 IS that the tricotine?
-
@Mizmazzle yes it is. I almost grabbed the Amundsen shirt from Bears, but waited too long.
I've put in two wears already with the tricotine and can't wait to break it in. The heavy flannel version is surely softer, but I don't find it uncomfortable or too stiff at all.

Iron Shop Provisions still has the Amundsen in a 3
