Everyone knows I love the 1955s my favorite cut. I also wear 888s. Measurements are close. I am size 34, I have super long legs and a short torso. IMHO the silhouette is totally different VS the 888s, Especially from the side profile. 1955s is slimmer looking from a side profile. Front profile the 1955s look a little fuller from the hip to the knee, especially mid thigh to knee. It then tapers nicely from knee to the hem. If you got long legs with a short torso this is a great cut.
I feel like the 888s is way more relaxed through seat into the into mid thigh. Mid thigh is kind of where the taper starts continues through the knee to the hem. 888s to me has a slimmer front profile due to the taper starting mid thigh, but 888s I think has a fuller side profile due to a more relaxed seat and crotch area.
I like having both in the closet. Even though they close in measurements their silhouette on the body is different enough to have one of each.

@TinMan. So based on your experience with both cuts you think the top block of the 888 is looser than the 1955?
-
Are these exclusive to IH uk? Love that cut from pictures but can't really say if I like it on me without trying on.
-
@FlavourFade No, TJ at the Shop Vancouver also carries the cut. Not an exclusive
-
@AdamJ thanks! Any german shops which ordered?
-
@FlavourFade not on this run I'm afraid
-
@AdamJ bummer
-
@TinMan Good info. Is the rise noticeably higher on the 1955’s though? That’s what’ll do it for me, even if I size up and belt up for a looser fit.
-
@FlavourFade what size are you?
-
@TinMan probably a 35 or maybe 36

Hey Adam, at the risk of being irritating, any sense of when we might see this run of the 21 indigo 1955? Thanks! I’m signed up to be alerted, just wondering.
