@Denman-John I had to do a double take on those red wing Mocs of yours. They look identical to mine. Same green laces and everything

@Kasi I’ve got a pair of the Viberg Pachena Bays. Very similar to the hikers. Love them.
Any reason you went with the Pachena Bays over the hikers if that was the case?

I can’t say enough good things about these boots. I’ve been wearing them daily for the past month here in Nepal and am so happy that I brought them. They have great traction on the trails with the Commando Sole and are very comfortable to wear all day. I am also pleased on how they are beginning to patina and are starting to show some character. 3 months old.

@Denman-John They look awsome.
-
@Denman-John those are well traveled.

@GardenState not sure if you pulled the trigger yet on the 2040’s but they are my favorite last from Viberg in that it accommodates a wide toe box well. They appear nearly identical to the 2030s but if you are an E width or wider, strongly recommended the 2040 last over the 2030s.

@flannel-slut I'm going to pull the trigger soon. I like the two darker waxed leathers they have available. I'm an e width so yeah the 2040 looks more accommodating and comfort really is more important than a sleek appearance. I have a few boots I'm going to unload before I purchase these though.
Thanks for the heads up. I'd rather have one or two really good boots than the closet full of boots I don't currently wear that often.

Did I drunkenly DM you my New Year’s resolution?
-
@flannel-slut I look at some of them and I think that someone else would appreciate some of the stuff I no longer wear or haven't even really worn. What's the value in keeping something you don't use?
That's why I have like three or four pairs of black jeans and only two pairs of blue jeans. I just don't wear them. But that's a completely different rabbit hole.
-
@GardenState just FYI the 2040 has the lowest instep in the range, I don't see it mentioned enough.
-
@Rococo Excellent! I love being able to move and be comfortable in my shoes.
