Manifattura Ceccarelli

Hello!
I was browsing and noticed there is nothing about this brand on the forum. I have been a big fan of theirs for years and I use their jackets year round since they focus on waxed canvas and the finishing and craftmanship is easily on IH level. The weight of the waxed canvas is only around 8oz if I am not mistaken, so it works as a really nice water proof layer all year depending on the insulation you have in the jacket; it goes all the way from 800 fill goose down to a simple cotton tartan lining.
In case anyone else here is and a big fan or would like to get into the brand let's talk, I've got a number of their pieces and can highly recommend them.
I had one of the original Filson 'black line' mountain jackets which Ceccarelli made when they were still Filson's European manufacturer which I wore a lot and only recently sold because it was too small for me.
Some really killer patina potential on these waxed jackets!

There are a handful of posts about these items across the forum posted by forum members and Rivet and Hide is a retailer of this brand. You might be able to find some of the previous posts by using the search feature and make sure you are looking at “posts” instead of “titles”. That was how I was able to find them.
This is the only dedicated thread for the brand and thank you for creating it and putting it in the right location.

@goosehd I think this is the first time I put a post in the right place! Self five!

I have one of their Fishermen Parka in blue, which is really nice and bombproof (and very water resistant!!), but I bought it one size too small, and so hardly wear it.
My only issue with many of their jackets is the high placement of the handwarmer pockets, which might work for some people, but for me it is really awkward.
This is now a dealbreaker for me that prevents me from eventually buying another jacket/parka. -
Hand warmer pockets are really subjective, I'm on the other side here and really like the higher handwarmer pockets. It's one of the reasons I like their jackets so much.
On the sizing, I'm on the border between 38 and 40 and I've found that the bigger size in their jackets is the way to go. If I wear a 38 it fits nicely and it looks perfect but when it's actually cold out and you want to layer then you need the extra room.

I got this Mountain vest from them recently. love it , you can easily layer it and it goes great with UHFs . It’s surprisingly light but that makes it wearable under jackets.

I love the look of their stuff and was thinking of getting their Fisherman or Mountain parka next winter

@Tom-Longarms Really cool vest Tom. How is the waxed material and the interior lining?
-
@Bridger hey thanks, waxed fabric is softer but still sturdy, lot of character. I think collar part is alpaca and rest of the lining is wool. It’s warm but nothing crazy. A bit on the shorter side but that makes it stylish in my opinion.

@Tom-Longarms Sounds promising Tom. I am keen about the shorter length as I don't play basketball. Hopefully there are retailers in London.
PS. Solid beard game, Tom.
