IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo/Black
-
@Heavy_blue thanks. I figured it had something to do with where they sat on the body. Thanks for making it understandable.
-
Tried a 2nd hot soak and managed to shrink the waist a bit more. Added some boiling water to the tub which seemed to help.
Start: 18.75”
End: 18.25”Wish I can get these to a 18”, but close enough.
-
@MassiveThighs so what was the total shrink in inches for you? What about the inseam with boiling water? Sounds nerve wracking on a $500 pair of jeans lol
-
@CosmoSix5 lost a whole inch if you’re measuring circumference. I wasn’t really worried about the inseam shrinkage as I always cuff my jeans. Just needed some waist shrinkage.

Here's my yearly update:

@Lowlander Wow! And I love the yearly updates.
-
Any restock horizon for these? Seeing hints of some regular indigo XHS coming in Jan/Feb!
️
-
@CosmoSix5 fabric in production at the mo, will be a long way behind the regular indigo XHS
-
@Lowlander The best faded pair of 555-XHSib. Great job of fading them Lowlander.
-
@twin thanks so much!

@Lowlander Very welcome. Keep on rocking them.

for real, those fades are incredible and the dedication to the one pair is admirable.

Just snagged the last pair in my size off the site. Never done 25 oz but I have a couple pairs of 21 oz. Just how much stiffer and longer of a break in period are these? How long should I plan for it to suck before it doesn’t suck
-
@chillmonroe Don't worry! If you got the right fit, they'll feel comfortable soon enough, though it does take longer than with the 21 oz denim. Congrats on snagging a pair of great XHS!
-
@goosehd how long should the soak + agitation be for this to be effective?
-
@chillmonroe you should soak them in the bath tub for around 30-60mins to ensure they are totally wet, then you can put them in the washing machine on a hand wash cycle, 30degreeC, 600 or less RPM
-
Thanks @Alex . One more question. Details say the waist will shrink one inch but also that it’ll stretch one inch. So in the end, the waist measurement will end up the same as it is brand new? It’s a bit confusing. I asked for hemming but now second guessing in case the waist doesn’t fit right
-
@chillmonroe Shrinkage is not an exact science.. Where are you based? UK, perhaps based on the time it is and you being active? If so, I would be taking them unhemmed, washing them as per above, wearing them cuffed for a week or two, then sending them back for hemming
