@spitfiredealer
Looks great man -
@spitfiredealer the fades are fecking phenomenal dude holy smokes!!!

I'm wanting to get the 526L next restock. Can anyone give me advice on how to soak and wash this one as it does shrink. Also any tips to get a less contrast vintage style fade on this one? Any photos would be great too. Thanks!

It was not intentional. We had to change the mill and thus the loom. It is an extremely tough denim to weave and the original mill did not want to risk their loom weaving the denim any longer. The weft and the warp are the same as ever, but the 2 looms produce a slightly different end result.

@spitfiredealer how often do you wear it? Is it comfortable or feel like you're wearing a cardboard box?
-
@jpvisual from my experience: with my limited use it stays crunchy and somewhat stiff. I personally don't mind much, since Type III jackets are often worn open, often with something long sleeved and more comfortable underneath. I would more reservations if to be worn mainly fully closed up and over a t shirt only....
-
@jpvisual Hi, just wash it more often and the fades will be more of the vintage type

I absolutely love that 'straight jacket' feeling, but I also acknowledge that I'm slightly odd in my tastes and preferences..

@Indigo_beef thanks!

@Graham do you post shrink test results on each size before the next batch is released? I think this could help take a lot of the guess work out of it. Thanks
-
@jpvisual I don't wear it much anymore but I did wear it a lot. It's not like a cardboard box but it is no means soft. This V1 though, when we did the world tour with over dyed V2 that felt really soft compared to this.

Few pics update on this amazing type 3. Love everything about this jacket. It's so dark and inky like it's been indigo dipped 100 times. Also I've never experienced such dry and rigid crispy denim. I frequently wonder at how they even managed to construct the damn thing, must've broke many a needle!

@Indigo_beef what a jacket

I will answer for Graham, as he may not see this post until after the weekend.
No, because shrinkage is not an exact science. The shrinkage that one person/washing regime achieves, does not accurately reflect what someone else will get. So the best we can do is publish "expected" shrinkage.
The guess work is something that a lot of people expect and like about buying raw denim, if it is not something you are comfortable with, then don't buy a raw product. We understand that is a concern for many people which is why most of our products are sanforised and/or one-washed to reduce the amount of guesswork needed.
That said, I notice that the link on the product page for shrinkage guidelines was missing, we have corrected that..

Pull it out last night just look at it
Will start to wear it againHow was this jacket when you first got it? Was it really rigid etc? I only have one type 3 and it's from a different brand, I'm kind of scared to put the time in to break it in but would love to get it all flimsy and get that "Second skin" feel when wearing it
