IH-526PJ - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo
-
@ton312 have you ever owned the 526L? If so, how would you compare and what do you prefer?
-
@goosehd thanks and good to know! I'm just trying to get some opinions on the the 526-PJ vs the 526L from those who own both, what they prefer and why.
-
@jpvisual the 526pj is much softer and more comfortable but much more tenacious and difficult to dissolve, the Lefty indigo is initially in armour then softens a lot but always remains nice and crunchy and easier to dissolve.I love them both but I prefer the Lefty for its consistency
-
@Luijim78 thanks for the post. Did you get the same size in both jackets? I'm leaning towards the Lefty, but a bit worried on sizing it correctly because it shrinks.
-
@jpvisual there is not much shrinkage more than anything it adjusts to your body with a warm soak, however as you may have noticed it is already slightly wider and longer in the corresponding size compared to the 526pj. Get your usual size and you will have no problems in my opinion

@coffeetv did you ever pick up a 526L? If so, how do you like it compared to the 526PJ?
-
@Luijim78 ok thanks, this is helpful!

@Yoprst LAYERS!
-
@Luijim78 Question for you: when you say the 526PJ is more difficult to dissolve, do you mean that it's harder to fade than the Lefty? Just was curious.
-
@Nostradamion softer fabric means less pronounced creases. Generally this will produce more subtle/vintage fades as there is less consistent abrasion upon the areas of the fabric most prone to wear.
-
@Nostradamion exactly, as Tom(T4920) wrote perfectly it is a little more tenacious in the fades and with less contrast even if I have seen evolutions of this jacket that have nothing to envy to the 19oz left-handed fabric.
