@ManiacLachy ive picked up on a fair amount of new (to me) tunes from what @J-IV posts and I'm going to out on a limb and say that @NickD probably has some gold on those shelves of his

@ManiacLachy ahh you give me too much credit. Take note of anything @GraemeE post. He’s the lifeline of this thread and I can’t wait to share a drink with him and nerd out on IH and music with him (and anyone on here for that matter).

Even with a few hundred jazz titles I still feel like I’m just scratching the surface of the genre.
Anyway, here’s one for today. Ellington, Mingus and Max Roach. Not a group of musicians you’d imagine together, but it’s an absolute classic.

Todays score from jazz record center in NYC (great shop)

@68degreesorless thanks for this, I was going to ask for Blues suggestions next. I couldn't find this album on Apple, but they had other options for Mississippi Fred McDowell, cheers.

Yesterday @tody and @Tago-Mago mentioned this band in the music thread.
Bad Religion- All your yesterdays is an unofficial release from 91’ and I haven’t heard it for decades. Sound quality is as modest as my system was at this time.
It’s on a par with seven songs of their debut How Could Hell Be Any Worse?. -
Driftin’ Back with Neil tonight.

Another one for the hip hop heads

I’m even rustier than you on time signatures, but the album notes may help. IMHO they’re probably just trying to be clever, but it’s a great album.

Yes, we do dig you Bill.

Do you guys keep your records in plastic covers?
I don't. I like the cardboard touch of the covers, the unrestricted view on the artwork and I don't care for the 'preciousness' of my collection (but also don't have many rare ones).
But if you do, you probably have good reasons. Please let me know.
