IHSH-414-WHT - 9oz Cotton Linen Work Shirt - Off White
-
@Tago-Mago - looks great. This shirt will look awesome with a pair of off-white Chuck 70s.

@Tago-Mago looks nice man
Do you think this shirt could do as an overshirt?
I mean is it thick enough for it ?
Saw the look of the model on the Germany website which looks cool -
Mine just came through the door... Very very good, a few observations from a quick try on:
- Calling it off white is an understatement: next to some white paper its more cream to my eyes (in a good way).
- The fabric has a ton of flecks and detail that doesn't show on the photos especially on the inside which is softer without the texture.
- The red stitching on the inside is magnificent
- For a summer shirt its quite heavy. I mean, clearly its 9oz as the description says but somehow I imagined the fabric lighter - its robust and is going to be great for all year wear.
All this makes me wonder if the black is more interesting in real life too!!!

Just got it and wow... I now understand the excitment from the crew during the preview. great texture with hints of browns popping through, very flowy thanks to the linen. a winner...

Looks fantastic
fit is spot on. Looking forward to mine. I had to size up due to missing out on the XXXL, may have to hot wash it and dry it a couple times or maybe not we will see…

@DeeDee85 yes, it arrived direct from Gosport this evening but pics will have to wait till I’m home at the weekend - I’ve got no suitable bottoms with me.
In terms of fit, there’s more excess fabric in the lower body than some of my work shirts (true to the published measurements) but it doesn’t show like it would with a heavier shirt as the fabric is really soft and drapes nicely. No problem with arm length (@JamesB managed to find me an extra half inch, which definitely helps, but it would probably have been tolerable without).
Completely agree with everyone else about the level of interest in the fabric and the red stitching.
Overall it’s fair to say I’m really happy.
Edit: just noticed it has the internal print which I love in this tonal iteration! Apologies for the poor lighting.

@ARNC colour me intrigued, looking forward to seeing a few pics. I’ll let you know how I get on if I can make it into rivet & hide next week.
In regards to sleeve length, the only non-IH shirts I have are an orslow fatigue, a flat head dobby and a buzz ricksons chambray. The orslow is fine but I’m contemplating chopping the flat head and buzz ricksons in to get the new IH dobby western while it’s still available. They all look fine on, just feel so strange to wear after getting used to constantly wearing IH. The extra inch/inch and half in sleeve length is something I never knew I needed and now can’t live without. It’s ruined every other brand of shirt for me

@MTpockets no chucks here, but I do have a pair of Shoes Like Pottery in off-white
