Thank you! I didn't know they made a boot like that….maybe.... so tempting. My RedWings are still my only boot I wear. I just need to really deep clean them and bring them back. I always use Bick 4 for my leather gear. Got to use Bick 1 real good again.
But then again....they are so gorgeous!

@bl@ster:
Just kopped these Chippewa Originals and thought I'd post them because I hadn't seen this style before. It's the 8" Tan Renegade leather version of the service boot with a somewhat different pattern (applied kiltie, backstay, and pulltab).
nice looking boot that i love the colour combo
How and where did you get them?

Just got my first pair of Chippewas. Seem to be well constructed and for the price (eBay find) I couldn't go wrong! Looking forward to beating these up and eventually maybe waxing them.
Great pickup, Moon! I bought a pair of these same ones from J. Crew but the roughout leather was really flaccid and droopy so I returned them. Is the roughout on your pair more rigid? Maybe I got a bad pair…
edit: Looks like they are different, see how the logo is different:

Mine are fairly stiff, but not overly. I would compare these to a Wolverine 1K in terms of stiffness. I have since "waxed" them with Huberd's Shoe Grease and have bee wearing them quite a bit lately! I like them and wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair of Chips! check out my IG and/or FB (sigs in link) for before/after shots of the Huberd's.
