IHSH-302-IND - Ultra Heavy Flannel Western Shirt  - Buffalo Check - Indigo

To a great extent, our ultra heavy flannel (UHF) shirts define  Iron Heart: heavy, rugged, but amazingly wearable. This western shirt is an exclusive indigo dyed 'buffalo check' 12oz fabric,  woven with Aspero cotton from the foothills of the Andes mountains. We double brush it on the inside and single brush it on the outside,  resulting in a very soft yet substantial, thick, warm and windproof  flannel.  This is the first time we have used indigo dyed Aspero yarns in an Ultra Heavy Flannel, expect some amazing evo.

I'm curious to know if this feels like the purple UHF. That thing is so freaking soft. It's different than the other UHFs I have (or perceive it to be).

@Filthy  I have 3 UHF’s and I’m with you that I perceive a softness in the purple that the others don’t have…plus it’s just gorgeous

@Filthy @SKT I've found the green tarten flannel from this season to also be uncharacteristically soft.  I wonder if it's a result of how the pattern is woven.  For reference, it's like the softness of a 21oz vs the tightly woven denseness of a 25oz, which my purple flannel from last year is like

Most/all UHF's patterns/colourways feel subtlety different from each other.  This is because different dyes create different characteristics in the yarn and different weaves create different textured fabric.
